The human gut microbiome is THE MOST IMPORTANT ecosystem on the planet. If we truly care for our gut health (inner-ecosystem) we will care for all other ecosystems! This is true for the simple reason that we as humans have dominion over all other living things on the planet. #guthealth #ecosystem #ibs #sibo #imo #sifo #plantbased #regenerativeagriculture #integrative #registereddietitian Do you agree?

On International Day of Plant Health, I am excited to announce I am joining the Schornack group at Sainsbury Laboratory Cambridge University (SLCU) for a summer research placement. The future of plant health is entangled with the health of the planet, not excluding humans! We depend on plants for our food, medicine and well-being. With so many ecosystems and agricultural practices at threat to climate change, it has never been more important to research ways to improve plant health and resilience. The fundamental research of the Schornack group aims to unravel the processes behind plant-microbe interactions, contributing to more sustainable and resilient agricultural practices. As my first research opportunity in the world of Plant Science, I couldn’t be more excited to be joining this inspiring group of people to learn more about plant health and make a contribution to improving the way we understand plant-microbe dynamics. Check out this article by our group leader, Sebastian Schornack, on the importance of plant health research to protect us from the challenges we face. If you are interested in Plant Science at any level, please reach out as I would love to connect with more likeminded people.
Today is International Day of Plant Health. In this feature article, Sebastian Schornack highlights why prioritising plant health should be at the top of every government’s policy agenda and discusses innovative strategies under development to bolster plant resilience. https://lnkd.in/gGNX_N_k
