Recently, scientists from #HitGen and #Pfizer reported an effective method to construct isoquinolone scaffolds on DNA via rhodium(III)-catalyzed C-H activation using various DNA-tagged alkyne as substrates and different N-(pivaloyloxy)benzamides as building blocks. This methodology was shown to be compatible with diverse substrates and BBs. The functional group tolerances of this method was also good, which offered additional round of diversification in a DEL format.
