ÁCIDO HIPOCLOROSO VS PRRS SAEW with a near-neutral pH value (5.0–6.5) was effective at inactivating PRRSV and PRV at low ACCs and had no significant effect on the host cells. The viricidal activity of SAEW increased with increasing the ACC, treatment time and temperature. SAEW is non-corrosive and stable, and has less potential to affect human health or the environment than current chlorine based disinfectants. However, the mechanism of this antiviral effect is not clear.
