Looking back on 2024: Oak Ridge National Laboratory researchers continued to capture key data in one of the fastest-warming regions in the world. As part of the Next-Generation Ecosystem Experiments in the Arctic, or NGEE Arctic project, ORNL scientists have been trekking across the Alaskan tundra, gathering data to shape tundra models that can better predict change across the pan-Arctic. John Heinz's article offers an important perspective on who's behind the UFO phenomenon. It goes beyond the simple choice between off-world extraterrestrials or secret government projects (aka SSPs) and proposes a third possibility - the UFOs come from inside the Earth. While Heinz describes them as Ultraterrestrials, they have been previously described as Cryptids, Inner Earthers, Intra-Terrestrials, etc. Heinz writes: "The "Ultra-Terrestrial" hypothesis proposes that one or more non-human civilizations arose on Earth before humanity's emergence, developing advanced technology before cataclysms drove them to take refuge underground and undersea. Their descendants may now pilot UAP to monitor surface conditions. civilizations."
