At the Longevity Workshop in collaboration with the Longevity Biotech Fellowship, Max Novendstern Worldcoin highlighted his work on developing in vitro organs through a tissue engineering lab aimed at making vital organs universally accessible. He emphasized three key premises: that organogenesis, or growing new organs, is an underrated but promising path to longevity; that in vitro development, where organs are grown in controlled environments, offers greater flexibility and scalability than other methods; and that current technological advancements make this endeavor feasible. While he explored alternatives like xenotransplantation and chimerism, he argued that in vitro development provides more control and long-term potential for improving human health. Exciting news from Antleron! We're thrilled to announce the recent publication of our latest article, "Bayesian cell therapy process optimization," authored by our colleagues in collaboration with the Biovism lab at Ghent University. Published in Biotechnology and Bioengineering, this paper demonstrates how applying noisy Bayesian optimization to cell therapy process development can significantly reduce costs and improve process efficiencies. In short, we demonstrate: - Up to 70% cost and time reduction compared to benchmark - Doubling process efficiency, while maintaining high purity - 50% reduction in experimental effort Cell therapy process development traditionally relies heavily on physical experimentation due to the complexity of digital approaches. However, our research showcases how Bayesian optimization, rooted in machine learning and mathematical optimization principles, offers a revolutionary black-box approach. With minimal experimental input and no mechanistic knowledge required, this method presents a game-changing solution for cutting costs and timelines in process development. Check out the paper in the comments below, and don't hesitate to reach out to our Antleron experts to learn how we can implement Bayesian optimization to fast-track your bioprocess development!
