Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced that it will launch the #E_Police digital services portal, providing a range of #police administrative services in an interactive online space for citizens across Morocco. The portal aims to streamline access to essential services, such as criminal record certificates and identity card appointments, by integrating modern technologies to improve efficiency, speed, and user experience. Starting December 20, citizens will be able to request this administrative document online immediately after verifying their identity using the "Tiers de Confiance" identity verification platform and the "Digital Identity" portal, both developed by the #DGSN.

In this DPI masterclass, Lanre Yusuf, Director of Software and Biometrics at the National Identity Management Commission, discussed Nigeria's DPI journey, shedding light on its history and challenges. Lanre revealed that Nigeria's first identity project, resulted in the issuance of 50 million IDs, with the identity software developed locally. He also highlighted Nigeria's collaborative efforts with identity agencies, including the driver license authority, the national population commission, and the immigration service, as integral parts of the process. Great news to improve trust in the UK’s growing digital identity ecosystem. “A trust mark will be introduced soon We also said in the consultation that we would issue a government trust mark to services that are on the register. You’ll be familiar with trust marks from lots of other places; symbols like the Red Tractor for food, Gas Safe for gas engineers and UKCA for things like toys, lifts and phones. After the Data (Use and Access) Bill becomes an Act of Parliament, once services have been certified against a version of the trust framework recognised in law and they join our register on the basis of their certification, we will begin issuing the trust marks.” #digitalidentity
