Take a look at this! 👀 In honour of the Summer Olympics, we hosted our own inspired event yesterday. Our lawn turned into an Olympic playground - with fewer world records and more laugh-out-loud moments! It was a fun twist on Olympic glory, where our coworkers "transformed" into Olympian athletes for an epic tug-of-war showdown, and three-legged race, among the many activities. They might not have broken any world records, but they definitely broke the laughter barrier! Big shoutout to all the “athletes” who participated and made the afternoon an unforgettable one! Thanks also to our fantastic social committee for organizing this event. Whether you were a gold medalist or just there for the fun, your spirit and teamwork were the real winners today. 🎉 Check out some snapshots of the action-packed afternoon and see if there’s a future "Olympian" among us! 😉🏃♂️🏃♀️ Just as our team brought their A-game to this event, our world-renowned Pharmacokinetics team brings the same level of commitment, precision, and teamwork to every clinical trial we conduct. Whether it’s #Phase1, Bioavailability, Bioequivalence, First-in-Human, or Psychedelic Clinical Trials, you can expect a gold medal performance from us every time. But don't worry – we promise to leave the potato sack races and egg tosses at home! 🥇 . . . #clinicalresearch #clinicalstudies #clinicaltrials #bioanalsysis #cro #clinicaltrials #Biopharma #drugdevelopment #genericdrugs #biotech #pharmaceuticalindustry #clinicalresearch #olympics

Attention athletes and sports professionals! As of 01/01/2022, local steroid injections into joints are now prohibited during competition. However, athletes can still apply for therapeutic use of exception when the last dose is administered within seven days of competition via oral, IV, or rectal routine. Additionally, when administered by intramuscular injection, athletes can apply for therapeutic use of exception within eight weeks of competition. It's important to note that athletes requiring intraarticular injection of a steroid are only required to apply for therapeutic use of exception when there is doping control in competition or they are required to complete an adverse analytical finding from when glucocorticoid is detected. Stay informed and stay on top of your game. For more information, check out the references below. References: - Sportintegrity.gov.au. (2020). Really pleased to share this recently published research in Frontiers of Physiology. Thanks to all the e co-authors Rafael Oliveira, Dave Rhodes, Patrick Orme, Halil Ceylan, Fransisco Gonzalez-Fernandez, Antonio Liñán-Gonzalez and Alexandre Moreira. 👨💻 The aims of this study were to: a) investigate salivary immunoglobulin A (s-IgA) and cortisol (s-Cort) responses to nine competitive fixtures in starting and non- starting soccer players; and b) compare s-IgA and s- Cort responses of starters and non-starters considering match outcome. 🔬Saliva from 19 male outfield players from an elite soccer team was collected. Saliva samples were taken on the day before each match (MD-1), 60-min before kick-off (MDpre), 30-min post-match (MDpost), and 72-h post-match (MD+3). There were five wins, one draw and three losses. ⚽️ In elite level soccer players, both starting status and match outcome influence s-IgA and s-Cort responses, particularly starters. Specifically, s-IgA was lower for starters before and after the match following successful outcomes. Moreover, higher s-Cort values were found before the match while lower values occurred after the match for starters in successful matches. #EliteSoccerPlayers #International 👉 Download the full article here
