TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY LANDSCAPE: INDIA Although there isn't extensive research on the prevalence of traumatic brain injury (TBI) in India, we can estimate it by examining specific circumstances where it occurs. For instance, road traffic accidents (RTA) serve as a key indicator. According to the Indian Head Injury Foundation, 76% of patients involved in RTAs sustain head injuries The World Health Organization (WHO) has projected that by year 2020 road accidents will be a major killer in India accounting for 546,000 deaths and 15,314,000 disability-adjusted life years lost. (National Injury Surveillance, Trauma Registry & Capacity Building Centre) According to statistics, the two main factors contributing to poor treatment outcomes are delays in treatment and a lack of trained personnel. Addressing these issues will require substantial capital investment to improve treatment outcomes. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH) RTA 2021 report (page 9), timely treatment within the golden hour could save lives in 71% of the accidents mentioned above. #BioscanResearch #MedicalInnovation #BrainInjuryDetection #HealthcareTechnology #PatientCare #connection #hospitals #braininjury #WHO #AIIMS #nitiayog #doctorconnection

'CEREBO', a handy, non-invasive, fully automatic device for detecting intracranial haemorrhage within a min. CEREBO®'s novel application of near infrared spectroscopy makes it possible to detect intracranial haemorrhage non invasively.Since it is non-invasive, based on NIR Spectroscopy, it can be used multiple times without causing any damage to the patient In Today’s time we are going through a silent epidemic – Brain Haemorrhage. One of the major causes of Brain Haemorrhage is Traumatic Brain Injury. Traumatic brain injury is an outcome of an adverse event which does not have any scientific origination making it difficult to point out root causative factors & also makes it difficult to forecast this injury. The more practical approach is to have advanced infrastructure made available for the treatment of TBI. In these area of multiple challenges “Cerebo” is a point-of-care intracranial bleed detector to objectively triage traumatic brain injuries within a minute #BioscanResearch #MedicalInnovation #BrainInjuryDetection #HealthcareTechnology #PatientCare #connection #hospitals ".
