AM I AN IMPOSTER ? For a second time in my life I am challenged with what I suspect to be a mild outbreak of imposter syndrome. My first breach came in 1999 as a work experience ad creative, when I was farmed out by an ad agency to play the Village People’s legendary cowboy. https://lnkd.in/e6j8RkrS Now I find me being challenged by me once more with my own brand, Happy Paul. I created Happy Paul to give me joy, and to spread a little joy.  And, at times, it is a struggle. A 2020 review found that close to 82% of people experience the imposter phenomenon. So at least I’m in fine self-doubting company. Though, I also know that if push came to shove there’s very little I wouldn’t dress up as in the name of Happy Paul. So, in order to befriend my imposter I am going to put both of us uncomfortably out there to ask for your help. I am launching a kickstarter campaign to fund an important development for Happy Paul - 2 new mood lifting fragrances. I need to convince the kickstarter algorithm (and humans) that Happy Paul is worth backing (as I think it is) by dialling up popularity and dialling down self-doubt.
