Interest in EyeControl’s potential has taken off not only in Israel but internationally as well, with the BIRD Foundation backing their participation in a multi-center clinical trial in collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. EyeControl is a groundbreaking bi-directional wireless headset designed to combat ICU delirium by enabling ventilated ICU patients to communicate effectively with their families and medical teams. Utilizing an AI-driven system with intelligent machine learning, EyeControl decodes eye gestures and translates them into speech, significantly reducing patient anxiety and improving overall clinical outcomes. "It’s rare that a health-tech solution is of value to virtually all stakeholders in the U.S. healthcare system. We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response we’ve received across the board – from hospital executives to bedside nurses," says Noa Mintz, Clinical and Business Development - U.S., noting the growing recognition of EyeControl's technology as a pivotal advancement in healthcare. The Israeli health-tech startup has already attracted additional funding and added Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland to its list of U.S.-based clinical trial partners. The BIRD Foundation is proud to support this profoundly impactful medical device, which holds significant implications for compassionate care in Israel during these critical times, and beyond. 🔗 For more about their extraordinary work with injured soldiers in Israel, see: https://lnkd.in/etG3iae9 Or Retzkin #BIRDfunding #RandD #HealthTech #ICUdelirium #clinicaltrial #innovation #technology #US_Israel #collaboration
