Exciting News from Bird! 🎉 Today marks a significant leap forward in sustainable urban mobility as we launch e-scooter share services in Eastern Queens! We're thrilled to expand our successful program to this vibrant community, thanks to the initiative led by NYC DOT working with Austin Spademan, Matias Longo, Nathan Barash, and James Coughlin from the Bird team. Covering four community boards and approximately 20 square miles, our e-scooters will connect residents from Flushing to Springfield Gardens, filling critical transportation gaps in areas historically underserved by transit options. At Bird, we're committed to fostering equitable mobility solutions. That's why we're conducting daily on-street outreach for the next three weeks, ensuring our service launch is as inclusive and accessible as possible. From discounted rates for qualifying residents to wheelchair-accessible scooters, our aim is to make sustainable travel a reality for everyone in Eastern Queens. The success of our Bronx pilot, which facilitated over 4.1 million trips since its launch, inspires us to bring the same level of service excellence to Queens. By providing a safe, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional transport modes, Bird is contributing to a greener, more connected #NYC. Bird is proud to have partnered with VSV, the Flemish Foundation for Traffic Knowledge, to organize a road safety event during which the participants had the opportunity to experience Bird's e-scooters and learn about safety rules under the guidance of VSV instructors. We are happy that all participants could enjoy a safe and enjoyable experience and will continue to partner with local safety associations to host such events as we see them as an opportunity for Bird to educate the public and our riders regarding safe and responsible riding. ------ Bird is er trots op samen te werken met VSV (Vlaamse Stichting Verkeerskunde), aan een veiligheidsevenement waarbij de deelnemers mogelijkheid hadden om Bird steps te ervaren onder begeleiding van VSV-lesgevers, met insteek op hoe men op een veilige manier met e-steps kunt rijden. We zijn blij dat alle deelnemers hebben kunnen genieten van een veilige en plezierige ervaring en zullen blijven samenwerken met lokale veiligheidsverenigingen om dergelijke evenementen te organiseren, aangezien we deze zien als een kans voor Bird om het publiek en onze rijders voor te lichten over veilig en verantwoord rijden.

We're joining forces with Rock the Vote to boost voter turnout and civic engagement! As part of this initiative, on Election Days in markets Bird operates, residents will be able to use a promotional code in the Bird app to unlock two complimentary 30-minute rides. The aim is to break down transportation barriers and ensure that every voice can be heard at the ballot box. Spin has a strong presence in North America including operations in over 50 cities and university campuses with minimal overlap with Bird’s existing footprint. The acquisition increases Bird’s geographical footprint, solidifying its position as the leading micromobility operator in North America by market share and by number of markets serviced. “Spin is a great financial and strategic acquisition for Bird and we expect this acquisition will enable us to achieve long-term sustainable profitability.
