Hey there Edwina from Birth Beat. I just made this quick video for you because I'm currently packing my hospital bag obviously not to have a baby for my own little operation I'm having next week and I thought I'd make this quick video for you as the registered midwife on what you need to pack as an expecting mum preparing to birth your baby. I see women bringing in lots of stuff they don't need, but forgetting things that they absolutely do need for their hospital stays. A few things. An extra long phone cord is definitely a good tip you'll be spending lots of time. In bed or with Bob on your chest, particularly if you have a C-section, some big underpants that are dark in colour and the higher top brief. The reason being unusually a size bigger is then you can fit a maternity pad on or if you have a C-section this will go over the wound. If you wear a bikini style brief the wound will actually the underpant line will actually sit on the wound and it's really uncomfortable by some that are dark in colour cause you will bleed for quite a few days. Some massage tools but make sure your partner. Here's how to use those massage tools or support person.
