Most people probably think of outdoor applications for portable winches, but this battery-powered capstan winch is indoor-friendly! We wanted to highlight one of the less common use cases here in our warehouse. If you don't have a forklift, but you need to move something heavy, a winch like this may be a good option. For this demo, we used the kit, which includes an anchor strap, 164 feet of polyester rope, a sling to put around the item you're pulling, and a carabiner to hook the sling to the rope. We tied a basic loop into the end of the rope to put the carabiner through. When using a capstan winch, keep these things in mind: - Anchor the winch to a suitable structural element using properly rated straps or slings; - Load the line in the proper direction; - Apply back tension to the line (essentially, pull with the winch) to maintain proper friction on the drum; - Be sure to not overload the winch (remember that the floor will add friction, effectively increases the overall work the winch has to do. #RiggingEquipment #PortableWinch #TrusttheLift

🔻18 Types of Sprockets A sprocket is referred to as a wheel which is found with teeth, cogs or even sprockets that are found having a mesh with the holes in the links of chain, track or other perforated material. A sprocket is considered to be different from a gear as the sprocket is found to never mesh directly with another sprocket. Sprockets are usually designed in order to be used along with a specific chain. Selecting the right sprocket is responsible for optimizing the sprocket or the chain interaction which ensures the proper performance of the drive and also decreases its maintenance at the same time. #Mechanical #Maintenance #MechanicalEngineering

How to coat a Tee Panel using the Tank Spreader. The Tee Panel can be difficult to coat, however utilizing the Tank Spreader and Side Swipe Rollers simplifies the application. The running puddle in front of the roller ensures there is enough coating going down. If you look right behind the TankSpreader you can see the extra ribbon of coating along the base of the rib. This is intentional. On the left side of the photo you can see 2 Side Swipe Rollers using the ribbons of coating to coat the vertical seams of the panel. The large diameter of the Tee Panel Roller. This keeps the frame of the Tank Spreader above the rib. Hope this helps!
