🌟 Breaking News: Groundbreaking Research Unveiled! 🌟 Today marks a milestone in my culinary journey. After rigorous experimentation and countless hours of dedication, I am thrilled to announce a groundbreaking achievement: I have successfully tackled a meal for three from KFC—all by myself! 🍗 As a visionary in the field of solo dining, this project pushed the boundaries of what one person can achieve with a healthy appetite and a strategic approach to menu selection. From the initial hypothesis ("Can I finish it all?") to the meticulous planning phase ("Should I start with the mashed potatoes or dive straight into the crispy chicken?"), every step was a testament to perseverance and unwavering commitment. 🥤 The journey wasn't without its challenges. There were moments of doubt, especially when facing the towering bucket of fried chicken. But with determination and a dash of humor, I navigated through each piece with precision and grace (well, mostly grace). And then, BAM! The moment of truth arrived as the last drumstick was conquered, leaving a trail of empty wrappers and satisfied taste buds in its wake. If so, then anticipate this now gathered sense of relief that they feel, by offering them something that will switch them from being 'tight and buzzy' into 'warm and fuzzy' - with a glass of fizzy. Frame it and say it, just like that. Be playful with them all the while trying to relate to their sense of relief (that they have finally arrived at your restaurant and ready to reeeeeelax). This style of engagement is more often than not met with the same level as warmth that you give them and therefore, as a direct consequence, trust and expectation is now in your hands. This now means, you have their attention in a way that should allow you, to start talking to them about the 'new wines' you have on, or the 'wine of the week' or that rascal glass of Passarina you tasted before dinner service with your team. It starts and ends with people. The wine - well that's just the thing that gives them satisfaction. The comfort comes from you" This is an almost word for word account of what I said to a group of people last week during a wine training session.
