At BizTechFund our emphasis is on providing data oriented solutions to small businesses at mass scale. The story of BizTechFund started with entrepreneurship bug biting a public college professor. Vikas Tomar looked at a very small role of deep tech in altering grassroots business landscape and thought that through entrepreneurship this adoption can be accelerated. This thinking needed a knowledge of business fundamentals from an ecosystem that produces entrepreneurs at an astonishing rate (University of California Haas School of Business) and collaboration as well as mentorship from similar other ecosystems (Purdue Firestarter program, Stanford H4D program, Berkeley RDI program, Y Combinator Startup School, Department of Defense ICorps program etc.). Since its birth BizTechFund has collaborated with My Business Care Consultancy, CGreen, EMachineLabs, KissanSay and is in process of forming multiple other partnerships with emphasis on providing financial impetus combined with data driven insights for deep tech adoption at scale. One of the first things the BizTechFund team did was to have an open conversation with budding entrepreneurs in this area through a podcast series that just concluded its first season. In the next few posts we will delve into interesting insights and discovery from such conversations along with new things happening in BizTechFund domain. #AI #deeptech #energyinnovation #finance

🚀 Reflecting on a Transformative Journey in Technology Entrepreneurship As we wrap up our TIMG 5002 - Technology Entrepreneurship course, I'm thrilled to share that the journey has been nothing short of enlightening. Under the expert guidance of the instructor Eduardo Bailetti, I've explored the depths of leveraging AI, specifically Gen-AI, for entrepreneurship, strategic development, and crafting compelling value propositions. Throughout the course, we had the unique opportunity to put theory into practice by launching our very own venture, Analyticraft Solutions. As a provider of cutting-edge business intelligence solutions, Analyticraft is built on the foundational knowledge we've gathered during our studies. By presenting our project and receiving insightful feedback from both our instructor and peers, we've gained invaluable experience and boosted our confidence in pitching to potential investors. A heartfelt thank you to Eduardo Bailetti for his unwavering support and wisdom, and to all my classmates who contributed to this enriching experience. The journey doesn’t end here; it’s just the beginning of a promising venture where we aim to transform data into decisions. 🔗 Stay tuned as we embark on this exciting path, and feel free to connect if you’re interested in learning more about Analyticraft Solutions or exploring potential collaborations. #TechnologyEntrepreneurship #BusinessIntelligence #StartupJourney #EntrepreneurialSpirit #AnalyticraftSolutions

It's pretty common for startups to accidentally abuse agencies. The startup realizes they need to solve a specific problem or at least learn more about how to solve it. There's no in-house expertise, so the leader starts reading articles and meeting with agencies that can solve the problem. Through all those meetings, the leader thinks they have their head around how to solve the problem. They save their limited budget and instead double down on effort, trying to personally deploy the strategy and tactics they just learned. Execution always trumps knowledge, but it's a shame how much knowledge agencies have to share in order to earn the right to execute. That knowledge comes from years upon years of learning and they give it away for free. How would you make it more fair for agencies while giving startup leaders the knowledge they need? There's a better model that's fair for everyone. Watch the space for news about how Jaw House is helping solve this.

Solving problems worth solving. In other words: Impact Value Creation and sensemaking across sectors.
When you have the opportunity to host a conversation with Sonal Shah, on #impact and #innovation, these are the things you do: 1. Say yes. 2. Wonder how you'll keep up. 3. Prepare to think faster, out loud, than you ever have before. A couple of weeks ago, Sonal and I sat down for the Startup Prize: Focus on Health virtual qualifier. With health-focused #entrepreneurs from across the country in the audience, we tackled topics like management, strategy, scale, customers, and team-building. And we told a story that I don't think we've ever discussed publicly before, about the origins of impact in government. Moral of the story: If you ever have a chance to learn from Sonal, take it! https://lnkd.in/eUcKyijK

What’s your WHY? 💡 Many think entrepreneurs dive into business for quick cash. But let’s be real: if fast money was the goal, we’d be doing something else! 🤔 For me, it’s all about solving problems. Spotting a gap and filling it with a unique solution is what gets me excited. 🕵️♂️ And yes, if there’s a market for it, the money follows. 💸 But it’s never just about the money. It’s about impact. With over a decade in the game, I’ve launched ventures that soared and others that flopped. But each experience? Pure gold. ✨ So, what's my latest venture about? It’s about **bridging the AI gap** in Africa. 🌍 I believe our youth deserve the tools to jump on the AI bandwagon. That’s my WHY. If you’re intrigued by AI, dive into our free courses. Your unique spark might be just what we need to take this to the next level! 🚀 #EntrepreneurLife #WhyWeDoIt #AIMarket #YouthInTech #JoinUs

I cannot sleep at night. This was the story I told at Venture Lane | Startup Hub a few days before I left Boston. What’s the future of VC? 🤔 Will it be a data-driven? Will it be automated? Are there new playbooks on how to invest? One question that frequently comes back: how to raise a fund, especially in tough times? And in the middle of this Harry Stebbings, a notoriously known podcaster, has raised 400M$. And maybe the future lies here: GPs having a strong community and large audience. Because thinking of it, it has huge advantages: #1. Differentiation in a Competitive Market Easier access ot deals by having a greater visibility. A GP with a strong community can differentiate themselves by building trust with entrepreneurs by showcasing their expertise through content. #2. Value Beyond Capital By sharing their expertise through content, a GP can be more easily seen as a trusted advisor that can do more than just providing capital. Also the GP can leverage the experts in his community to provide value to founders. #3. Influence on the Startup Ecosystem - Trendsetting: Influential GPs can shape trends in the startup space by highlighting certain industries or topics (e.g., AI, Web3, Climate Tech). - Evangelizing Emerging Sectors: A GP can help structure communities around new technologies or business models, becoming a key player in their growth. #4. Amplifying Successes Sharing the achievements of portfolio companies within the community enhances the GP’s reputation and attracts more talent. But now the only question is: can every VC become a media and if everybody does so, how to speak louder than the others?
