To accelerate the transition to a circular economy, all positive forces must unite and work together. Today we brought Harald Solberg CEO of the Federation of Norwegian Industries (Norsk Industri) to Norsk Gjenvinning’s facility in Oslo to discuss industrial policy and show our operations, thanks for coming. This facility plays a critical role in waste management and recycling for the entire Oslo region, so proud of all our colleagues here! Let’s all continue working towards a more circular future, and policies that makes that possible.

Today I participated in DNB NXT, hosted by Norway's largest bank DNB, a key meeting point for entrepreneurs, investors, and businesses, to discuss climate technology. Innovation and new technology are key drivers at NG Group. I believe the Nordics are well-positioned with high levels of trust, openness to new technology, and a strong tradition of collaboration. Thank you to DNB for the invite and to Karl Liapunov, Kristin Aamodt, Lucilla Maria Bruni and Eva Camerer for a good discussion. Yesterday, I took part in another conversation on urban development during Oslo Urban Week. All of our facilities are part of local communities, and we are committed to making a positive impact on the societies we are part of. It is important that urban development and the cities of the future facilitate not only the coexistence of housing and businesses, but also foster mutual growth and strengthen the communities they serve. Together with Tove Andersen, President&CEO of TOMRA, we have co-written an article in one of Norway's largest newspapers, emphasizing that the tipping point for the circular economy is now – we must move from talk to action. Transitioning established, linear business models comes with a host of uncomfortable side effects. However, merely following others will not provide a competitive advantage. We won't become more circular only through new action plans, expert committees, and strategies. The time is ripe for clear political direction and the will to put power behind our ambitions. It must become more profitable to operate circularly than not to. We are thrilled to share that the Danish company P. Olesen A/S is now a part of NG Group. The acquisition of P. Olesen significantly strengthens NG Group's presence in Denmark and represents an important step forward in our commitment to circular solutions within the construction industry. P. Olesen, with around 200 employees and an annual turnover of approximately 600 MNOK, is Denmark's leading demolition company specializing in reuse and circular solutions for construction waste. P. Olesen's focus on sustainable waste management and recycling has become a significant competitive advantage. The company operates several facilities that annually process approximately 300,000 tonnes of waste, with over 90% being recycled. With P. Olesen, we are laying a solid foundation for expansion in the region, with the aim of pioneering circular solutions. We have great confidence in the company, with its unique market position in Denmark, brings valuable expertise and potential.
