Certain organisational leadership roles lend themselves to being primarily outcomes focussed. Taking advantage of that without feeling the pressure of hiring someone full-time (or worse yet, not hiring anyone at all) requires some lateral thinking. One option is to consider bringing in fractional leaders. Thoughts?

Picking Your Team: A Strategic Approach for Senior Executives As senior executives, one of our responsibilities is forming the teams that will drive our company forward. It's tempting to handpick each manager and director based on personal interactions or past successes. However, this approach can inadvertently overlook other talented individuals within the company—individuals who can contribute in a more meaningful way to the organization's growth and innovation. Choosing your team wisely means more than selecting individuals you know and like; it involves understanding the entire talent pool. This ensures that no potential contributor is left behind. Regularly reassessing the composition of your management team is not a sign of instability but of strategic agility. Being open to changes in your management lineup can lead to discoveries of new ideas and leadership styles that propel the company in unexpected and fruitful directions.

"🔴 Bad Boss vs. True Leader 🔵 Bad bosses focus solely on their needs, ignoring employee growth and development. They fear losing talent and fail to invest in their team's future. In contrast, true leaders value employees' aspirations and support their dreams, even if it means they might leave. They understand that helping individuals achieve their goals benefits everyone. Leaders provide guidance, training, and opportunities aligned with employees' career plans, fostering a positive work environment where individuals feel valued and motivated. Ultimately, working under supportive leadership enhances performance and loyalty, even if employees pursue other opportunities.

Ever thought doing 'nothing' could elevate your leadership game? In the high-speed corporate world, 'unproductivity' is often synonymous with laziness. But, here's a twist. Taking a step back, embracing periods of reflection, and sometimes, yes, being 'unproductive' by conventional standards, can actually forge stronger, more intuitive leaders. Leadership isn't just about relentless action. It's about vision, understanding, and connection. When we're constantly in motion, we miss the subtle cues, the undercurrents that inform the big picture. By allowing ourselves moments of stillness, we open the door to deeper insights about our team, our goals, and the paths to achieve them. Consider this: some of the most impactful ideas and strategies come from moments of quiet contemplation, not the hustle and bustle of daily tasks. It's in these periods of 'unproductivity' that we can reflect on our leadership approach, reassess our strategies, and truly listen to the needs of our team. So, next time you find yourself caught in the guilt of not 'doing' enough, remember that leadership is as much about the silent moments as it is about the actions. Embrace the paradox. Take that step back. Reflect. Listen. Grow. Seen the power of 'unproductive' time in your leadership journey? Share your experiences below. Let's rethink productivity together.

What makes an effective leader? 📌 For employers: Your true measure isn't in the authority you wield, but in the growth and success you foster in your team. By prioritizing the well-being and development of your employees, you create a culture of trust, innovation, and loyalty. Remember, your most valuable asset is your people. When you invest in their potential, you're investing in the future of your organization. 📌 For job seekers: As you navigate your career path, look for leaders and organizations that embody this principle. Seek workplaces where your growth is prioritized, your contributions are valued, and your potential is nurtured. A great leader will not just give you tasks, but will provide opportunities for you to expand your skills and advance your career. 📌 For both: True leadership transcends titles and positions. It's about creating an environment where everyone can thrive. Whether you're leading a team or aspiring to leadership roles, remember that your success is intricately tied to the success of those around you. By embracing this servant leadership approach, we can build more productive, harmonious, and fulfilling work environments. Let's shift our focus from merely being in charge to genuinely taking care of those in our charge. Who’s the leader that you look up to at work and why? #careergrowth #workplaceculture #professionaldevelopment

Chief People Mover & Reinvention Coach | Helping Overwhelmed Burned Out Leaders & Parents Reclaim Their Energy Without Losing Themselves in the Process. While Sacrifice is Part of Life, it Shouldn’t Cost You Everything.
If you’re still leading like it’s 1999, you’re going to keep getting outdated results. Back then, being a leader was about holding the title or having the biggest office. Today, things have changed. Leadership is no longer about power—it’s about earning your team’s respect and trust. But here's the challenge: Trust doesn't happen overnight, and sometimes it doesn't happen at all. There’s no playbook, no course, and definitely no hack that’s going to instantly make your team buy into your leadership. It’s on you to show them you’ve got their back. You have to put in the reps every day to prove you’re someone worth following. Reinventing yourself as a leader means constantly evolving and learning how to meet your team where they are. Every. Single. Day. The better you become, the better they become. P.S. It's NEVER too late to learn. It's NEVER too late to change. Drop me a message, and let’s make it happen → Isabelle LaCroix Vienneau 😎 ✌

Leaders, the key to retaining top talent lies in your leadership approach. Research by Gallup reveals that 50% of employees leave their jobs to escape bad bosses. This underscores the importance of being the right leader for top performers. Top talents require guidance and support, regardless of their exceptional skills. To make it harder for your best people to quit, consider the following strategies: 1/ Empower Decision-Making 2/ Create Clear Growth Paths 3/ Eliminate Roadblocks 4/ Foster Innovation 5/ Provide Honest Feedback 6/ Recognize Their Impact 7/ Champion Work-Life Balance 8/ Invest in Development 9/ Listen to Their Concerns 10/ Lead with Purpose Become the leader that inspires loyalty and growth.
