I’ve been lucky enough to attend a few Presidents Club trips in my time, but this one is different. 2022 was a challenging year. Market conditions changed, inflation, cut budgets, we over-hired, and the headwinds were constant. Nevertheless, we got through it, but not without some casualty. 2023 was different, though. The challenges were still present, but we regrouped and set some bold yet achievable goals as a team. To support this effort, I dropped almost everything and anything that didn’t align with the team’s goal of achieving their OTE. —> Meetings were reduced —> QBRs were cut short —> Deal reviews were 15 minutes —> My calendar was open I was involved in every type of customer call. Sometimes discovery, and sometimes a demo. I loved it. What worked best was that our messaging amongst the three layers of management was consistent. It didn’t change. Everyone knew what we were working towards. So, although I appreciate the recognition, I want to give a massive shout-out to my team. Here’s why: —> 90% of the team overachieved 110%+ —> 90% achieved President's Club criteria —> 50% of the team qualified and will head to Hawaii next month. Overall, they were the highest-performing division globally. 🎉 Why were they so successful? They planned, researched, and prepared for every customer interaction. They made it a point to understand the customer's business. They partnered to solve not only the problems our customers have today but also the ones they’ll need to consider in the future. They walked away from prospects where our product didn't fit. It was 100% customer-focused. 👏 So, with that, I want to give a special shout-out to the following: Laura Arcos, Spencer E., Erik Husanovic-Majic, Sonia Chadha-Nihal, Matt Gwardiak, Max Florin, Will Carrick, Jogesh Talwar & Will Grieveson Congratulations on winning a well-earned award. Uncomfortable is how I would describe myself as it pertains to speaking about myself or my accomplishments. That is why I would like the focus of this post to be about my colleagues and organization as a whole. During my time at Top Hat, I have always felt appreciated and that my contributions to the organization, my colleagues, and our partners have received more than ample recognition. My accomplishments can be attributed just as much to my team, colleagues, and leaderships as they can to me. Last week, I was surprised and humbled to receive the Top Hat Unsung Hero Award for our Customer Success Team. Receiving this award speaks to the amazing culture at Top Hat. To recognize someone as an "unsung hero", who feels that they are thoroughly appreciated is a testament to how much Top Hat cares about its people. Find a company that appreciates its people so much that they recognize someone who already feels highly valued. Find a company where your CEO records the award presentation to send it to you, your VP gets you to climb a fence, and another VP lends you their extra glasses (or other random items you forget). Find somewhere that a friend says such nice things about you that you are embarrassed while your other friends celebrate for you. #TopHatProud

Rejection and failure can be a catalyst for growth; although difficult in the moment it can lead to something great! After attending an energetic revenue kick off meeting for a mission driven company working to help clients & clinicians, I find myself reflecting on this journey the last 2 years. 🌟I’m honored to win the Pinnacle top sales leader award and make Chairman’s Club for the second year. 🌟I’m proud of my team & their support. 🌟I’m thankful for great leaders & their guidance. 🌟I’m grateful for this opportunity to continue to grow and help therapy practices. 🌟However, I’m also appreciative of all the NOs that led me here. We don’t always understand why life works out in those moments. After 20 years of being an occupational therapist I wanted to grow my career and diversify my skill set. Without sales experience I faced a lot of rejection in my job search yet was still determined to find a sales opportunity and leverage my clinical skills. Sometimes a NO helps you learn along the way to propel you where you are meant to be. I was passed by for many interviews due to lack of “experience” and overlooked for many opportunities due to more experienced candidates being a better fit. Thank you to the leaders that believed in me here & to Therapy Brands for not only giving me a chance, but for facilitating my growth in order to help hundreds of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy practices find a software solution to streamline their work flows & put time back in their day to better serve their clients. Theater Alliance was so pleased to join Booz Allen Hamilton at The Anthem for their Booz Allen Excellence Awards! The talented team of Theater Alliance artists and youth "brought the magic" to the evening of WOW led by Natalie Ade, Kari Merkel, and team. Arts organizations get asked to perform at these kind of events all the time - and as an artistic leader, we get asked to make those decisions. For me, the question always comes down to #values. Does the organization align with our values of integrity, diversity, and excellence? Does the organization value artists? Does the organization live their values? With #BoozAllenHamilton, the answer was a resounding YES. Even in the first conversation about the event, we didn't talk about what they needed or how to make all their dreams come true on a tiny budget. Instead, we talked about what they believe in and what we believe in - we talked about the WHY of our organizations.
