Kiernan Trebach celebrates that March is Women's History Month and this Friday, March 8 is International Women's Day. Women's History Month began as Women's History Week in 1978 in Santa Rosa, California. March 8 was chosen to coincide with International Women's Day. It was officially designated "Women's History Week" in 1980 by President Jimmy Carter's very first presidential Proclamation. In 1987 Congress designated March Women's History Month. Last year we celebrated Kiernan Trebach's first female Managing Partner, which is impressive, but even more so when you consider that as of 2020: 38.3% of attorneys were women, 47% of associates were women, 32% of non-equity partners were women, 22% of equity partners were women and 12% of managing partners were women. Kiernan Trebach continues to be ahead of the curve in numbers and ethos. #DefenseLitigation #LitigatonManagement Wishing everyone a Happy Women's History Month and International Women's Day! https://lnkd.in/gbSv3i3s #WomensHistoryMonth #genderequality #inclusionanddiversity #HireX #HerStory #InternationalWomensDay #WomensDay #IWD2024 #WomenInLeadership

Did you know that, at the current rate of progress, it will take almost 50 years to reach parity for all women in corporate America? This makes me even more proud of the crucial work we’re doing at Chubb to advance more women leaders. #WomenAtChubb

✨To all my LinkedIn Black women professionals: you don't want to miss this webinar from Busisiwe Hlatswayo MBA (Henley Business School) from Black Women in the Workplace. During this 1H of the year, I have been approached by so many Black women who were having a hard time navigating the workplace in the tech industry. They shared stories of 👉🏾discrimination, 👉🏾micro-aggressions on their names, hairstyles, 👉🏾lack of assertiveness while just being early in career and introvert (yes Black women can be shy and introvert too despite all the stereotypes showing otherwise) 👉🏾being overlooked for projects they raised interests in, over and over again 👉🏾 considering living the tech industry 1) I was shocked that it was still happening at in 2024! I an optimistic... 2) I asked myself why they were coming to me? I was told that it was because "I was unapologetic about who I was, my worth, because I cared abiut others and was successful about navigating the workplace". (It is still a work in progress...). Join the webinar, to learn winning strategies to be successful in the workplace as a Black woman. It is not a US or European problem, it is a global issue. #blackwomenintheworkplace #Busisiwe #webinar #africandiaspora

🌟 Celebrating Women's History Month 🌟 As we honor Women's History Month, it's crucial to recognize the challenges that women continue to face in the workplace. Despite the progress we've made in gaining more opportunities and breaking glass ceilings, the perceptions and biases that women encounter in professional settings remain significant hurdles to overcome. Women are often held to different standards, judged for their assertiveness, leadership style, and even their appearance in ways that their male counterparts are not. The double standards and unconscious biases that persist in the workplace can create barriers to advancement and equality. While we celebrate the achievements of trailblazing women who have paved the way for us, let's also acknowledge the work that still needs to be done to ensure that all women have a seat at the table and are respected for their talents, skills, and contributions. #WomensHistoryMonth #GenderEquality #EmpowerWomen
