Reflecting on the inspiring stories and invaluable lessons from Black History Month, we now step into Women's History Month with a renewed sense of purpose and admiration. This transition is not just a change in the calendar, but a continuation of celebrating resilience, achievements, and the incredible impact of diverse voices in shaping our society. As we highlight the contributions and triumphs of women around the globe, it's important to remember the remarkable women who have broken barriers and paved new paths. In particular, I'm moved by the stories of Black women whose strength, wisdom, and perseverance have shaped history and continue to inspire us today. Who are the female figures that inspire you the most? Are there stories of remarkable women in your life or history that you think deserve more recognition? Let's share and celebrate these powerful narratives to not only honor their contributions but also to inspire the next generation of changemakers. Let's make this Women's History Month a time to recognize the strength and resilience of women everywhere and celebrate the progress we've made towards a more inclusive and diverse society. #BlackHistoryMonth #WomensHistoryMonth #Inspiration #Leadership #DiversityAndInclusion

Today we are celebrating the journey of women in leadership with Black Management Forum. It's always wonderful to sit in rooms filled with women and have conversations about the massive strides our predecessors have taken to allow us to enjoy the liberties we have. However, the journey is far from over and the baton has been passed on to the next generation of women (that's us, you and I, if you were wondering). Here's to building on the foundations of our foremothers. #WomenInLeadership30 #BMF #Acceleratingeconomictransformation

This article delves into the unique qualities and challenges that shape the leadership journey of Black women. From navigating intersectional identities to redefining traditional leadership paradigms, our contributions are invaluable and often overlooked. Black women in leadership often face additional challenges regarding equality in work metrics (moving targets) and budgets (limiting resources). How does your organization keep discrimination and stereotyping out of teams? While transparency and radical honesty can help decrease bias when assigning projects, it may not be enough.

Amplifying the voices of Black women. Dr. Mom. Founder of BSW Chronicles. Adjunct @ Purdue Global & SNHU
"Unapologetically Leading: The Black Women's Mixtape" is more than a platform, it’s a vibe and a community where we celebrate the stories and journeys of Black women leaders. Through centering their narratives, we aim to inspire connections and uplift voices that are often overlooked or stereotypically defined. "Unapologetically Leading" amplifies Black women by giving them space to take center stage and own their narratives and how they are shown to the world. Why the play on the word mixtape? Because we hope to curate an authentic and transparent look at their experiences, perspectives, and insights, noting that each narrative will be different, similar to the diverse tracks on your favorite album/mixtape. Ultimately, "Unapologetically Leading: The Black Women's Mixtape" isn't just about sharing stories; it's about reclaiming agency, and redefining what it means to lead unapologetically as a Black woman in today's world. If you are interested in sharing your story either through writing a piece or by being interviewed fill out the form below and share it with your network 💜 EDIT: This will close tomorrow at noon. #BlackWomenLeaders #CenteringBlackVoices #RedefiningLeadership #Leadership #Storytelling

In the 10th anniversary of the Women in the Workplace 2024 report by McKinsey & Company in partnership with Lean In, Black women face significant barriers to leadership. While 54% of Black women were promoted to the manager level, this still reflects a decline in representation, underscoring the need for ongoing advocacy and support in our workplaces. We need more than representation; we need lasting, systemic change! 👉 Click here for more insights https://lnkd.in/eRyC5nT
