🎥 2024 BlackECE Symposium: Policy, Practice, and Research California is leading the nation toward reparations for Black people, and we’re proud to be part of this transformative movement. At our recent BlackECE Symposium, the Reparations panel, featuring Justin Blakely, John Dobard, and Kristin Nimmers, shared powerful insights on how reparations must include the voices of Black children, educators, and families. At BlackECE, we are a leading voice in this conversation, advocating for policies that uplift California’s youngest Black children, Black early educators, and Black families. Reparations are not just about correcting past harms, but investing in a future where every Black child can thrive.

By CVV l News: "BlackECE continued their cookout series, by hosting a fun-filled Black Family Cookout on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Applegate Park in Merced, CA. Families enjoyed good food, family games, your favorite cookout songs, and lots of fun. The food was catered by Symple Soul in Merced. Children received a tote bag with culturally affirming materials, including books provided by First 5 Merced County. This was a perfect opportunity to meet and connect with other families in the community and experience Black Joy with the kids!"
