Health is wealth - passionate about enabling others to thrive | Project manager | Former NHS Commissioner | Global Health Fellow | My opinions are my own
One of the things that interests me is our approach to failure. Too often we want to shy away from declaring a failure when we should should both embrace and celebrate it as our failures are what lead us often to succeed. Last week I was challenged to consider what failure meant to me and how I have grown through it, and it led me to find this series of podcasts - How to Fail with Elizabeth Day to listen to whilst training. If your interested in this topic these might be of interest to you.

With any number of "third rail" topics we may encounter with colleagues, clients, family, and others, this is an interesting simple approach to increasing curiosity and decreasing disparity. Thanks for sharing the insight, Leah Smart! What are some short phrases you use to slow the pace of difficult conversations? #communityaction #advocacy @calcapa
🎙️Podcast Host, Everyday Better with Leah Smart | Editor @ LinkedIn: Personal Development | Enneagram Educator & Student
How does this journalist stay open during difficult conversations? Anna Sale, creator and host of the podcast ‘Death, Sex & Money,’ says we should use small phrases that introduce new perspectives or slow the pace of a tough conversation. In her interview with someone who had opposing viewpoints, he would listen to her position, pause, and calmly say, “You know, I see it differently.” Every time he said that, it signaled her to slow down and respond thoughtfully, instead of react defensively to his experience. Have you tried any phrases to better handle tough conversations, personally or professionally? Tell me below 👇 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 👋 👋 I'd love to hear from you: If you follow Everyday Better content on your podcast app, we'd love to hear from you. The Queen of Chilean Spanish 👑 Helping gringas SLAY in Chile beyond “cachai” y “weón” | Spanish Neurolanguage Coach ® | Podcaster
🚨🚨🚨 This episode contains sex*al language 🚨🚨🚨 So, it's not like there's a ton of sexual content, but today I'm hitting you with the 🍆🍆🍆 talk, and I gotta say, everything surrounding this word just baffles me: 'cause on one hand, everyone's like, "Don't say it," but on the other, us Chileans are throwing it around all the time. 🙋🏽♀️Yep, I'm guilty too. But really, who are we to tell someone else what they can or can't say, right? Here's the real deal: it's not about not being able to say "pico," it's about if you're in Chile, we'd appreciate it if you do it like a Chilean. And in this episode, I'm here to help you get the gist of the word if you're not into using it, or how to sling it like a local if you are. 📝 Grab the transcript by subscribing to my newsletter for free. 👇Episode link in the comments. #chileanspanish #chileanslang #spanishforintermediates #podcast
