Let’s reflect Baddies! Shoutout to @luvvie for capturing this historic moment. What can we learn as a #Baddieswithbusiness community from this moment? Whether you’re for Kamala or not, there is A LOT to be learned from this moment. We truly have the POWER to make a major IMPACT at the drop of the dime. Within hours over 45K Black women banded together and got on a call. We can do, and have been doing, a A LOT with a little. In the first five minutes of the #winwithBlackwomen call as a community we able to immediately find a solution. Sometimes you don't need a long drawn out plan you just need to get STARTED! We are curious, what are your takeaways from this moment? #blackwomenmatter #blackwomen #Baddieswithbusiness

I can't tell you how many times I've sat on talent calls JUST LIKE THIS. Notice the amount of caveats and qualifying statements (mental acrobatics) that come into play. The only difference here is that unlike this interviewer, when I'm in the room I'm able to call out these acrobatics without bringing shame down on a person. (Often folks don't see their own bias). The tough thing about it is these talent call results have real impact on people's lives and a lasting impact on the organization overtime as one group starts to be devalued over another for reasons that have nothing to do with performance.

Let's talk about Black women in business. 🤝 As we celebrate #NationalBlackBusinessMonth, we can't help but revisit the powerful words from Tracee Ellis Ross who told our #ADCOLOR audience why it's important for Black women entrepreneurs to share their experiences with one another. "Part of my journey has been being transparent about...what it takes to sustain a business, what the hard parts are." 💎 #SupportBlackBusiness #BlackBusinessMonth

Check out this article written by our VP of Community Engagement, Lina Juarbe Botella 🧡
Our Vice President of Community Engagement, Lina Juarbe Botella, shares a hard truth in her recent op-ed for @domesticshelters — "Throughout the history of the feminist movement up until the present, we have seen time and again that feminism has failed and forgotten [Black women and] Women of Color." When we center those at the margins of the margins, we make it possible for all people to be valued and safe. How do you center folx in your everyday work whose identities and experiences sit at the margins of the margins? https://lnkd.in/ddC22PhZ

Jah & Jahes love. I wish that one of these women would adopt me or create a program for low-wealth and struggling black women. I have never, ever, benefitted from the philanthropy of any of these women. But, they reportedly give millions away each year in gifts and stuff. Blessed love.#1804#Ayiti#ToutMounseMoun#AbolishCPS#AbolishPoverty#DefundFosterCare#ProChoice#RawVeganforLife#HRES40NOW#NoNewOccupationofAyiti#ProChoice#BwaKale
