🚧⚠️ Excavation Pit Collapse Alert ! A truck near an excavation pit caused the soil to give way, leading to a dangerous collapse! Why did this happen? 🤔 👉 Heavy loads increased soil pressure, making it unstable. 👉 No soil reinforcement or edge support. 👉 Lack of barriers or warning signs. - 5+ meters depth trench, considered a confined space. The safety protocols must be followed at 1.2 meters depth. - The soil also seems to be not stable and strong as rock, which can be cut at 90 angle. - Shoring needs to be done here to prevent the movement of soil and cave-ins. - Look at the debris at the edge of excavation which put more pressure on the sides to move and cave-in - Look at the two guys standing at the extreme edge of the excavation - how did they go inside the trench? - What are the rescue procedures if there is cave-in incident?

Protect fall hazards around excavation 10 feet / 3 meters. Protect yourself: Never enter a trench deeper than 1.2 metres (47 inches) unless the walls are sound, made of solid rock, properly sloped, shored or protected by a trench box. Never work alone in a trench.
