Has this ever happened to you? I enquired about a service online and was told I would receive a quote within 20 mins โ brilliant. Within minutes I received a phone call and they talked me through the service they offered. When I asked what the cost would be I just said โwow!โโฆ in fact I nearly fell off my chair! They asked if I thought it was expensive and had I got a quote elsewhere. I said yes I had browsed online and seen what appeared to be the same service for a whole lot less. Then came the shocker โฆ They promptly dropped their price by 50%. No justifying of the original cost. No selling how good their service is. How would that make you feel? I felt like they had ripped me off with the original quote by dropping by 50% instantly. 2 things to take from this If youโre going to discount, give a reason why. Although rather than discount could you add something for free or offer different levels of product/service for different prices? Value your pricing and stick by it, explain why it costs as much as it does. If you know what your competitors arenโt offering with their quotes, highlight this (without bad mouthing your competitors) #Customerexperience #CustomerLove

Ever wondered why that $999 price tag makes that $799 deal seem irresistible? ๐ค That's the power of price anchoring! It's a clever psychological trick where a higher initial price (the anchor) makes the lower, discounted price seem like a steal. ๐ค Think about it: wouldn't you be more tempted to buy a product originally priced at โน50,000 now offered at โน35,000? Even if you hadn't considered spending โน50,000 initially, the discounted price seems incredibly appealing compared to the anchor. Here's how you can use price anchoring to boost your sales: ๐ Set a high initial price: Establish a reference point that makes the discounted price seem more attractive. ๐ Create a sense of urgency: Limited-time offers and flash sales can amplify the effectiveness of price anchoring. ๐ Highlight the savings: Clearly communicate the discount percentage or amount saved to reinforce the perceived value. Remember, price anchoring is just one tool in your marketing arsenal. Use it wisely and ethically to create a win-win situation for both you and your customers. Have you ever fallen for price anchoring? Let me know in the comments below! ๐

Price promotions, akin to painkillers, offer temporary relief to a suffering bottom line. However, this short-term gain often masks long-term damage. Although they can jumpstart sales, these promotions result in unsustainable transactions. They not only erode profits but also necessitate continuous investment to attract new customers, often the least loyal. Remember, business won on price is frequently lost on price. Competitors can easily undercut, making price-cutting a sign of desperation rather than strategy. It fails to establish a long-term rationale for customers to choose your company. Conversely, consider the vitamin approach. By focusing on long-term marketing strategy objectives, you help customers achieve their goals. Listening to customers, valuing their importance, and positioning them favorably in their respective fields fosters lasting relationships. This not only benefits your clients but solidifies your company's reputation as a partner invested in mutual success. In conclusion, while price promotions offer immediate benefits, their long-term impact is often detrimental. A strategic focus on customer relationships and value creation is the key to sustainable success. #henrymittelman #businessgrowth #businesscoach

Don't Sell Cheap... When it comes to sales, pricing your product too low can do more harm than good.
