Starbucks excels at incorporating storytelling and fostering human connection in their advertisements… They achieve this by ensuring RELATABILITY. ⭐ Specifically, in their "Every Table Has a Story" ad, Starbucks employs three strategies to craft a relatable narrative that resonates emotionally with viewers: - Highlighting Habits: If you're a Starbucks customer, chances are you've spent time at one of their locations working or studying while enjoying a cup of coffee. Instantly, Starbucks establishes a sense of relatability and connection by allowing viewers to envision themselves in the shoes of the customer portrayed on screen. - Creating a Relatable Struggle: The ad portrays a customer facing challenges in her job application process. Visibly frustrated and on the verge of tears, she experiences a setback that many can empathize with – the feeling of discouragement and self-doubt. This relatable struggle adds depth to the narrative. - Emphasizing Consistency: The theme of consistency runs throughout the ad, depicting the woman's determination to overcome job-search obstacles. Despite setbacks, she returns the next day with renewed motivation. Starbucks uses this theme not only to symbolize the woman's hard work, struggles, and perseverance but also to convey the idea that, no matter the challenges in one's professional life, Starbucks remains a reliable place for work, goal achievement, and a comforting cup of coffee. What are your thoughts on this ad? Does it make you want to visit your nearest Starbucks? Let me know in the comments! 👇 #storytelling #adcampaigns #analysis

While playing baseball with my son before dinner, we both got all the pride and joy in hitting and throwing the ball, but learned sharply that catching with a glove is a lot less fun. In a moment of "Dad improvisation" we transformed his glove into a playful monster, making the act of catching both silly and fun. This simple pivot extended our game by another joyous half hour! This experience led me to a reflection: How can we apply the same playful innovation to our professional lives? How do we trick our minds into embracing tasks we'd rather avoid, turning the 'frogs we have to eat'' into opportunities for fun and engagement? As Mary Poppins often tells us both on Disney Plus, 'In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun, and—snap!—the job's a game.' Let's challenge ourselves to find the 'game' in our tasks, transforming the mundane into the extraordinary. It's not just about getting things done but finding joy in the process. #BusinessInnovation #Motivation #ProductivityHacks"

It’s Friday, it’s 5 to 5…It’s Crackerjack! OK, it’s not quite 5 to 5, and it’s not Crackerjack, but it is Friday. Crackerjack was a popular UK children’s show from the early 80s. There was a live audience who shouted out the headline above. I remember those happy Fridays in front of the cathode ray box. But today, it’s hot, I’m tired, and I need a cold beer! Physical exercise, brainstorming, wrapping up tasks at work, etc. all need 3 things. To be effective they all need practice, fuel, and rest. So, start saving your files, write up your notes, and say goodbye to colleagues. Get out of work and get your rest. Enjoy the weekend everyone! ➖➖➖➖➖ Explore my featured items to: 📖 Download your tech strategy guide 📅 Book a FREE tech strategy call ℹ️ Learn about my work and life #strategy #technology #leadership
