Just some insights from 1 month of Ghoul Loc.: 👻☕️
1. Most of the Game Devs I’ve talked to are aware of the importance of localization for their games, although they prefer to leave this part until the end of their development cycle, kind of a “let’s wait and see” approach. But they are the easiest professionals to talk to about localization!
2. Book publishers [PTBR: Editoras de livros brasileiras principalmente] still rely on individual translators to do the job, in a somewhat academic way of proceeding. They’re not fully aware of the benefits of outsourcing their translation workload to a company—at least most of them aren’t.
3. So building a localization company, a very small one like ours, will necessarily focus our efforts solely on games, although I do want to work with books in the future as well.
Well, at least not until that horror book publisher from Brazil responds to my emails 😂
Grab a cup of coffee with Ghoul to see how we can collaborate on the localization of your games.
We are small but cool. And very good professionals.
