Exciting day at Rivian! Today, we released our carbon footprint reports for the Gen 2 R1T and R1S. While our team uses life cycle assessment every day to drive our decarbonization strategies, it's not every day that we get to share our findings with the public! These reports discuss our ongoing decarbonization strategies and showcase the improvements we've already made since our Launch Edition vehicles. Rivian just released its Gen 2 Carbon Footprint Reports, highlighting a 15% reduction in vehicle carbon footprint compared to Launch Edition vehicles. Gen 2 R1s use significantly less energy than their predecessors and offer ranges of up to 420 miles. It's been a great first few months for myself with Rivian and today is huge for the future of the organization. At 1 pm EST, the newest vehicle in the lineup , the R2, will be announced live. It’s incredible how much Rivian has accomplished in such a short time. From re-engineered Gen2 versions of the R1T and R1S to launching fleet solutions, service centers, hubs, and pushing boundaries with in-vehicle infotainment, all while managing numerous priorities, expanding factories, and constantly optimization for efficiency. What’s even more remarkable is how Rivian has managed all of this under constant scrutiny and market pressure. A perfect example is when a misleading article about RJ Scaringe supposedly resigning triggered a 10% stock sell-off, when in reality, it was the COO retiring. Even as clickbait headlines try to paint a picture of slowing EV demand, Rivian continues to push forward, delivering the most compelling product lineup in the U.S. auto industry. This proves what can be achieved when you stick to your principles, stay focused on creating value for your customers, and never lose sight of your mission. 5 Things I Have Learned from Owning a Fully #ElectricVehicle 🔌 If you need to rely on the charging network for your daily commute it may not be for you yet. 🚛 If you do a lot of long-haul towing EV's aren't for you. 🛑 Regenerative braking > Regular braking 😎 They are hell-a-fun to drive. 💻 The greatest thing about owning my Rivian truck is it has way more options today than when I bought it 3 years ago. It updates & improves like a computer.

This is very important research because the auto industry as well as transportation professionals across the country and world need to realize that EV’s are a different animal when they interact with other vehicles and roadside hardware. Their weight, weight distribution, center of gravity, etc. are just way different that tradition combustion engine vehicles!! Thanks to MwRSF for their leadership in leading this important research!
