Sharing glimpse of the impactful collaboration between the Government of Meghalaya, Blockchain for Impact (BFI), UNICEF India, and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay ! This video captures the essence of our recent workshop on Human-Centered Design (HCD), which marked the launch of the India Health and Climate Resilience Fellowship (IHCRF) program. The fellowship is focused on empowering District Health Associates (DHAs) with the skills to tackle public health challenges at the district level using data-driven, sustainable solutions. Transcript

That I've strived districts in Meghalaya, there is a district health associate who's going to be placed at each district who will be the learning layer for the government. As the learning layer, they are able to look on the ground and see what policies are working, which are not working and why they are not working and what are the different priorities for universal health access and things like that on the. Give that as a feedback mechanism back to the government and this happens through the team that UNICEF sets up at the state level. Just students are going to help the the district implementation teams, as we call them, district human development teams who would actually use their services to facilitate the discussions based on this human centric design. So we're having a three day workshop with UNICEF, IIT Bombay and all of the district health associates to build their capacity over these initial 3 days. And this is something that will continue on a quarterly basis. So every quarter their capacities will be built so that they can go to the field and perform better. We are hoping that this will do is it will create an ecosystem in the state for public health and for public problem solving, which will allow the state to listen to what's happening on the ground and then come up with solutions. Of course, it will involve introducing innovative devices. It will involve creation of dashboards and apps and things like, but it's going to the starting point of this is sort of now shifted closer to the communities, giving everybody a better chance of solving the problem. Meghalaya being a state with a lot of geographical as well as community challenges, it becomes even more imperative to build the capacity at the local level. State is trying to improve the overall health outcomes. A lot of indigenous population living in a lot of remote areas. So you need to really design our program implementation in such a way that actually we are really understanding people's issues and accordingly we are able to mobilize them for better outcomes. Please workshop is very important because UNICEF, Phantom, the state government and also blockchain for impact. So altogether we are coming together and I really appreciate the work that's happening here. One thing what we understood is that there is a lot of need for mobilizing people, Yeah, and mobilizing different stakeholders, this partnership with the government of Meghalaya. And BFA are very, very important starting point. This is a kick off of or the first step in a long journey. We look forward to working together with the FBI. State government as a partner. It's a very, very important intervention for the state, particularly the public health point of view, where smaller states like Meghalaya requires a lot of capacity building at the from the fundamental levels to ensure that the health and nutrition outcomes are to the desired levels. So with the human centered design, the idea is that like that's that's what actually we also use in the states called state capability building approach. The idea is that you need to address the systemic issues so that to. Get a more sustainable outcomes. So you have people on the ground who are closer to the problem. You have the team at the state level who understands, who has access to the policy, they understand data and using the both of this, they're actually able to bring in partners pilot solutions. And I'm very thankful for BF I who have been in supporting us for various initiatives in the state and particularly with this because this goes fundamentally in system strengthening. And the system suffering as we know once done, is going to have a long term impact.

IIT Bombay signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Blockchain for Impact (BFI) for catalysing and promoting healthcare innovation with the goal of improving public health in India. The BFI-Biome network aims to build conversations, formulate ideas and partnerships for collaborative projects in cutting-edge healthcare solutions. BFI aims to impact the healthcare and life sciences sector as well as enhance the public healthcare sector in India. The aim of this initiative is to bridge the gap between research and implementation by funding medical research, startups and training programs under their BFI-Biome Network. The MoU signing event was attended by dignitaries from IIT Bombay and BFI, including Dr Gaurav Singh, BFI and Prof. Ravindra D Gudi, Dean (Alumni & Corporate Relations), IIT Bombay. The MoU signing strengthens IITB's commitment to support, accelerate and forge multisectoral collaboration to address the gap between R&D, innovation and implementation in the healthcare and life science sector. #IITBombay #healthcare

I met Agboluaje Oluwamayowa at #3MTT community event where we went for a walk. I was impressed by how much he knew and how willing he was to share his knowledge. We started talking and got along well. A few weeks later, we met again at another event and shared more ideas. Each time we met, our connection grew stronger. We decided to collaborate for our week 9 Reflection sharing ideas on a topic titled "Revolutionizing Healthcare in Nigeria: The Need for a Centralized Patient Database" Introduction As a nation, we have made significant strides in improving our healthcare system, but a critical piece is still missing – a centralized patient database. In today's digital age, it is astonishing that our healthcare sector still relies on manual records and fragmented systems, hindering the quality of care and putting lives at risk. The Challenge In Nigeria, patient records are scattered across various healthcare facilities, making it difficult for medical professionals to access critical information, leading to: • Inaccurate diagnoses and treatments • Wasted resources and time •Poor health outcomes The Solution Implementing a centralized patient database using blockchain technology can transform our healthcare system. Take my word for it if I tell you that the reaction you see in this photo from the minister of investment of Morocco, Mohcine Jazouli, the director of AMDIE Ali Seddiki, and their teams, happened when I spoke on stage about Fujn’s ongoing project with the الصفحة الرسمية لوزارة التضامن والإدماج الاجتماعي والأسرة #MSISF#MSISF#MSISF, under the leadership of Minister Aawatif Hayar, aiming to benefit 100,000 #Moroccan #women working in the #Hammam sector. This project integrates soft, spa, and digital upskilling to foster economic prosperity and dignity for this workforce, and elevate the brand of the #Hammam and its womanpower as “#wellness service providers”. Getting this reaction from the minister of #investment and his team in the middle of his massive ongoing #roadshow in the #US, meeting large corporations in #greenenergy, #aerospace, #biotech, #bigtech, #supplychain, right after #Germany, speaks to the #compassion and #care that the members of the #Moroccangovernment bestow upon the people of Morocco and primarily the #underserved among them. As a devoted entrepreneur, I am one million percent convinced of our mission at Fujn to enable access to more dignity for the underserved and fulfillment to the high potential human capital through smart upskilling and income opportunities. However, to see that reaction in that room in the #eyes of the Moroccan delegation and 150 tech and biotech #Moroccanleaders in the most prominent tech firms was my #Falcon9 #ElonMusk moment in 06/04/2010. Let us document it here, hahaha 😀 It is paradoxical to see that only 5 years ago the Internet was raving about #decentralized government-free #blockchain/#crypto world and now raving about an #AI-regulated world where the government’s role is key. The wisdom we can take here is that public-private partnership (PPP) is a responsible way to serve all people, sustainably and inclusively. We are well off if most or all of us are well off. #SamAltman of #openai said that with #AI, a one-man billion $ startup is now possible, praising AI. And I thought, going forward, greatness should be seen in founders who build unicorns with most employees not less. The headcount #KPI should be looked at favorably in the upward direction, not near ONE. The more people we hire and provide careers to, the greater we are. I never forget these unconventional acts of conviction from certain people in some moments of my life journey. Bridging this divide is essential for inclusive and equitable growth. 2.
