Many years ago Steve Jobs said we need to start with the customer experience instead of technology. I really love this video, watched it many times.
In my career I saw many teams spending too much time discussing the better way to create something, trying to discover the future with their imaginary crystal balls instead of getting dirty hands and making things happen.
Sadly, today, we have people who waste so much time discussing and being evangelists of some technology. I know you worked with some frameworks or languages more than others, and for this reason, you think your stack is the silver bullet, but it's not, and that's fine! Probably this will be good to start some new app or project, but for sure you should not waste your time trying to say your tech is better than others, because it's not.
Languages and frameworks are means to an end, don't fight for things that don't matter.
Steve Jobs had an exceptional ability to foresee and shape the future of technology by emphasizing simplicity, elegance, and user-centric design.
My key take-away from Steve Jobs' response to a tough question on the failure of OpenDoc.
"You've got to start with the customer experience and work backwards to the technology. You can't start with the technology and try to figure out where you're going to try to sell it."
Companies that prioritize customer experience are more likely to enjoy long-term success. A customer-centric approach fosters a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and responsiveness, all of which are essential for adapting to market changes and sustaining growth over time.
A simple example that show that only when we know the why of what we do and we are clear about the benefit to all our clients, only then does it stop being called sales and become passion and essence.
