Award Winning Learning Consultant | Empowering women to reach their potential one hormone cycle at a time | Corporate packages: £500 one hour power up webinar | £2,500 one day masterclass
Great article in The Times about how more workplace support for women’s health could save the UK £20bn a year. It talks about getting the best performance from employees and how this is good for business with some quite simple steps: 1. Strive for an open culture where women feel comfortable to speak openly. They suggest bringing in guest speakers for this. 2. Sign post to resources and support available. Even if you are a small company there is a lot out there. If you are looking to implement this into your organisation, then send me a message. I run sessions to open up conversations on hormones and their impact on body and brain for women in organisations. It’s £500 and if you book by 31st August you’ll get a recording of the key take-aways to share long after the session. Full article here:

Founder of Freda Modern Menopause, aiming to replace mini sewing kits in hotels with eco period kits. Developing a “smart” pad with the help of an EU Horizon grant.
Women should not feel any stigma when talking about their periods at work. According to the Bupa Wellbeing Index 2024 – a survey of 4,100 women nationwide – almost all (94 per cent) have been affected by at least one symptom in the past, while nearly half (47 per cent) who have periods experience severe pain most. Many women are also anxious about being embarrassed by their period at work. More than half (58 per cent) of those taking part in Bupa’s research said they had experienced menstrual blood leaking on to their clothes. That’s astounding in 2024 women are still anxious and embarrassed by their period at work. At Freda, when introducing our menstrual support options to corporates, we either get ghosted or told they don’t have a budget to provide free products to their staff - less than £1 a woman a month! #workplace #mentalhealth #womenshealth

Our latest research showed that 26% of women, including those battling conditions like endometriosis, feel pressured to return to work early after illness. This statistic sheds light on the unique challenges faced by women dealing with chronic health issues, where the invisible nature of conditions like endometriosis often leads to misunderstanding and underestimation of their impact. Endometriosis affects millions of people worldwide, causing debilitating pain, fatigue, and other symptoms that can significantly disrupt daily life, including work. Despite its prevalence, there remains a pervasive lack of awareness and understanding of this condition in many workplaces, leading to undue pressure on women to resume work before they're physically or mentally ready. As we strive for greater workplace inclusivity and support, it's crucial to recognize the specific needs of individuals with chronic conditions like endometriosis. Employers can play a pivotal role in creating environments where women feel empowered to prioritize their health without fear of judgment or repercussions. This includes offering a support program such as frendo@work alongside providing access to necessary accommodations, and fostering a culture of empathy and understanding around women's health issues. *Statistic from our 2024 commissioned survey of 1250 working women, created to gather insights into the experiences of women in the workplace, including those who experience chronic health conditions such as endometriosis. #EndometriosisAwareness #InclusiveWorkplaces #EmployeeSupport"
