Blue Cord is proud to announce a major milestone in the Augusta Operating Room Renovations project at the Charlie Norwood VAMC in Downtown Augusta, Georgia. In partnership with Gold Mech and Macs Crane, our team successfully installed a 75-ton air handling unit (AHU) that will serve both existing and newly renovated operating rooms for years to come. This state-of-the-art unit features high-efficiency copper coils, advanced energy-saving technology, and a comprehensive HEPA filtration system to ensure maximum patient safety. This complex lift was the result of meticulous planning and coordination, requiring the temporary relocation of patients in the VA's SICU wing. Despite weather challenges extending the operation over several days, our team was able to execute the placement of all six components. This installation marks the beginning of critical HVAC renovations in the VA's Surgical Suite, a crucial step in enhancing patient care and meeting modern efficiency standards. #TeamBlueCord #HealthcareConstruction #ProjectMilestone #PatientSafety #BlueCord #Veterans #Healthcare #SDVOSB
