Are you INTERESTED or are you COMMITTED? I have a very close friend that averages 10,000 steps a day. He committed to himself about 2 years ago that he would average 10,000 a day and at the end of each month he reconciles that by seeing if he is short, and then is focused on making up WHATEVER steps are necessary in order to achieve the goal. I can 100% say that without a doubt if he had to walk all night long in order to do this--it WILL be done. I am always telling him about my newest weight loss goal, or fitness plan in which he often replies with " it sounds like you're interested." What do you say to a guy who will spend six hours walking the last 4 days of the month in order to NEVER MISS on his COMMITMENT he made to himself. Of course, this kind of dedication translates into everything he does and he is a very successful C-Level exec, and restaurantuer. Ask yourself the next time you set a goal if you are INTERESTED or COMMITTED? It's actually a very revealing question. I wish sometimes people could see a little bit further when they read a CV with store manager experience. It’s NOT ONLY “store manager”, it’s way more then that. It should not be this difficult to find a job outside retail after spending all of this years multitasking and learning from basically every department, plus doing tasks that are not even in the description of a Store Manager position. I really feel a lot of job positions could benefit from the experience of a Store Manager. I’m still ready to take on new challenges outside the usual retail scene. #storemanager #opentowork #inbetweenjobs #newchallenge
