There was one thing I did when I was at HubSpot building HubSpot Academy that made all the difference. This 'aha moment' is about how to get more ROI from your marketing investments. Here's what we did. We worked our butts off to enable HubSpot's go-to-market teams to use HubSpot Academy to make their job and outcomes better. And helped them create more value and better outcomes for every customer. I ran similar plays at Drift and Airmeet. I will say, it's much easier doing this in-person with proximity to people then just trying to do it online. Why? You need people to lean in and you need to be passionate about what you're teaching them. Harder to do via a Zoom experience. Want more ROI from everything your marketing team creates? Then be better at enabling your GTM teams. Here are some ways how to be. It starts by teaching folks HOW they can use use what marketing produces. Don't just throw things over the fence. Do enablement sessions guiding people through how they can use an asset from the point of view of a salesperson. Run call review sessions around how people are using assets during calls. Show how salespeople are booking meetings using different marketing resources. Talk to sales and customers success about how they could be using content or events more in their process. Reward GTM team members who are embracing and using marketing assets to drive more revenue and business value for the company. There are of course many other things you could do The point is lean in and partner with arguably your most efficient and important growth channel. Your fellow GTM teams!

A common complaint I see from demand generation folks running webinars is that the data from webinar platforms does not seamlessly flow into their marketing automation, preventing them from doing effective nurturing. In this post, I break down exactly how this is done with Hubilo and HubSpot. 1. If you want to collect registrations on Hubspot (via a form embedded on the website): a. This means you will be importing the registration information into Hubilo from Hubspot b. Set up field mapping so that Hubilo knows which data to pull in from Hubspot. Also create a workflow on Hubspot such that every time there is a registration received, that data may be pushed into Hubilo immediately. 2. If you want to collect registrations on Hubilo: a. Then this means you will be exporting the registration information from Hubilo to Hubspot b. Set up field mapping so that Hubilo knows which data to push to Hubspot. c. Create a Contact Property on Hubspot if you are collecting additional information that does not already exist as a field on Hubspot. d. Map each of these fields between Hubspot and Hubilo. 3. Determine where you will send registration confirmation emails to your registrants from. a. If it’s from Hubspot, then this means you will need to procure the attendee join link from Hubilo into Hubspot into a specific field. b. If it’s from Hubilo, then this means you will not need to make additional changes. Reminder emails could also be sent from Hubilo directly. 4. Next, set up which attendee activities would you want to have inside Hubspot for post webinar nurture and reporting. Hubilo provides up to 8 activities and data points: i) Registered ii) Attended iii) Poll submission iv) Question submission v) Watch time vi) Survey submission vii) In-Video CTA clicked viii) Lead score from the webinar 5. Switch on SYNC and as information comes into either Hubspot or Hubilo, it will be sent to the respective destination. 6. We built a simple guide in-product where depending on the configuration you wish, the correct steps shall be shown and the above steps are performed in the right sequence 7. If for whatever reason, data sync breaks or fails, the errors are logged and easily investigated. Also the missed data is updated whenever the sync is turned on again. All data transfers happen within 5 minutes and all post webinar activity syncs happen 30 mins after the webinar ends. For even more granular, steps refer to https://lnkd.in/gsJY9jJw

🚀 Wrapping Up My HubSpot Journey: New Skill Every Week Series 🚀 After almost two weeks of diving deep into HubSpot, I’m excited to share that I have reached a milestone in my learning journey. It’s been an enlightening experience, and I wanted to reflect on what I’ve learned and what’s next. During this time, I explored various aspects of HubSpot, including: Lead Generation: Understanding the process of attracting potential customers and converting them into leads. Lead Management: Learning how to manage and nurture leads effectively within the HubSpot CRM. Email Marketing: Getting hands-on experience with creating, sending, and analyzing email campaigns through HubSpot. One of the biggest learnings from this journey has been realizing the importance of continuous learning and adaptability. HubSpot is a powerful tool with a wide array of features, and while mastering it in a short span is challenging, the knowledge gained is invaluable. It has reinforced the idea that technology and tools are constantly evolving, and staying updated is key to leveraging their full potential. Moving forward, I will continue to apply and refine my HubSpot skills while exploring new areas and tools to expand my digital marketing expertise. Additionally, I will keep taking the free courses available on HubSpot to further deepen my understanding and stay current with new features and best practices. I failed my first attempt at the Digital Advertising course, and it was actually a win! 🙌 I’m usually my own toughest critic, but this time, I cut myself some slack. I realised that to truly excel and deliver value to future clients and employers, I needed a deeper understanding of the material.
