The Queensland Government, in partnership with the Smart Energy Council, has launched a solar panel recycling, reuse, and recovery pilot program to combat the growing issue of solar panel waste. By 2035, over 100,000 tonnes of solar panels are expected to enter Australia's waste stream, posing significant challenges for hazardous waste management.* With $5.5 million in funding, the initiative aims to prevent e-waste from entering landfills by testing the feasibility of collecting, reusing, and recycling solar panels from homes, businesses, and solar farms. Six collection sites have already been confirmed, including Capalaba, North Lakes, Gold Coast, Rockhampton, Toowoomba and Townsville. At Blue NRG, we’re committed to supporting sustainable energy solutions for businesses. Through our partnerships with leading solar and electric vehicle providers, we help businesses reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs. We’re excited to see initiatives like this take shape to ensure a greener future for Australia’s energy sector. Today is R U OK? Day, and this year’s theme is " Ask R U Ok? Any Day" because life happens. These conversations should occur not only today, but every day, to support and care for one another. Checking in on someone can make a world of difference, whether it's a friend, family member, or colleague. It's important to be present, listen actively, and offer support without judgment. Sometimes, just knowing that someone cares can be incredibly comforting. If you're worried about someone and want to check in, visit https://lnkd.in/guhQkQG for practical tips to help guide the conversation. Remember, taking the time to ask, "Are you okay?" can help create a supportive environment and foster mental wellbeing. #RUOKDay #RUOKAnyDay
