BPA Partner Spotlight You don't need fins to fly. It's a scientific fact, of course, but it's also a rallying cry of the Gallifrey Foundation's Fly Without Fins campaign, which uses activism to pressure airlines not to carry shark fins as cargo. (Shark finning refers to the act of slicing the fins off a shark, often while it is still alive then dumping its body at sea because it has no value. These sharks then sink to the ocean floor, suffocate and bleed to death. This is happening every minute of the day.) That's just one of the many ocean-related programs that our new Switzerland-based partner, the Gallifrey Foundation, helps navigate, "by identifying synergies that could be exploited and roadblocks that could be overcome by working together."
