From next month, all existing Universal Analytics data will be deleted by Google. From that point, you will be unable to access this data for future analysis. Essentially leaving you with only a view of user behaviour from the date you set up GA4. While UA and GA4 metrics are not directly comparable, it is still very valuable data to use when evaluating performance against previous years. So if you haven't already, get that data saved down for the future! If you don't know how to do this, drop me a message and I'll point you to some people who can help (spoiler alert: It's Uplift™ | Websites With Impact).

🕵🏻♂️ GA4 November-2: Improved subproperty filtering of automatically collected events Google Analytics 4 enhancing automatically collected events from web data streams in Google Analytics 4 to solve a filtering issue for some subproperties. All automatically collected first_visit and session_start events from web data streams will contain the same event parameters as the event parameters for the first client-triggered event in a session. This means those automatically collected events will be properly filtered in or out of a subproperty for consistent and predictable reporting. We don't need to take any action to enable this as this launch will fix the issue going forward. #ga4 #googleanalytics4 #google

Google Analytics Real Time Data Lagging Today There are several complaints on forums and social media that Google Analytics' real-time data is sluggish and not reporting appropriately. After examining several websites, it appears that the allegations are legitimate. So, instead of seeing the usual amount of real-time visitors in the GA4 real-time reports, you see a lower percentage of them being reported. This appears to be a glitch, but Google has yet to reply to concerns about the issue. https://lnkd.in/ehnGaWYD
