I owe everything to travel--my work, my marriage, the place where I live, and my peace of mind are all products of travel experiences--and I'm not the only one who feels this way. That's why it was so fun to write this blog for the Soul of Travel podcast, weaving together the stories of several podcast guests who spoke about the ways travel experiences guided them to their life's purpose. If you have been transformed in some way by travel, you'll identify with this! https://lnkd.in/gSp4ivZe

This one podcast will change how you see travel (and life). So, I was randomly scrolling through social media when a clip from Shobha Rana's podcast featuring Peepal Baba showed up on my feed. His words immediately caught my attention, and I ended up watching the entire episode. ➜ In particular, there's a segment (42:35 to 48:43) where he talks about the beauty of travelling without maps. 📍He shared how we sometimes miss the best parts of the journey by focusing too much on directions. 📍We focus so much on the maps that we don't even enjoy the view just because we focus on the destination only. 📍Instead of always relying on maps, he suggested ➜ letting yourself get lost in the moment ➜ talk to local people, ➜ absorb your surroundings, ➜ and just let things unfold naturally. As someone who loves exploring new places, this idea hit home for me. We can be so focused on reaching our next destination that we forget to enjoy where we are right now. I've often found that the best experiences come from unexpected conversations or getting lost in a place and stumbling upon something beautiful. ➜ If you're a traveller (or even just someone who likes to go with the flow in life), this podcast will give you some refreshing insights. I’ll drop the link in the comments if you want to check it out—it’s definitely worth your time. P.S. That timestamp from 42:35 to 48:43 might just change how you approach your next trip. Follow Ankit Sharda for more such suggestions, travel-related posts, and first time founder experiences. _______________________ JournyR LinkedIn LinkedIn News Australia
