🌟 Meet the Team: Trace! 🌟 Introducing Trace, our amazing, hilarious, fun, sweary, and passionate Chief Engagement Officer at Canopy SDA! Trace is all about working with participants and Support Coordinators to get participants into the right SDA homes for them. Let's get to know her a little better! 1. Are you a stay-up-late person or a wake-up-early person? "I love to stay up late when I don't have to get up early the following day! I definitely need my sleep and must go to bed before 10pm if I have any chance of being productive on a weekday. I have never been an early bird!" 2. If you could have 1 superpower, what would it be? "This is actually really tough! My first thought was 'the ability to know how someone is feeling/thinking whenever I wanted to'... but that would be a really heavy power. I would actually probably, if given the chance, say 'to be able to fly' like Superman. Catch me in the clouds." 3. What is the best piece of advice that has ever been given to you? "'You are not your thoughts.' I can easily get into a spiral of yukky thoughts. When I learned they are just that—'thoughts' and not 'truths'—I was able to relax and go easier on myself. In work, the best advice I was given is 'it is only as hard as the next step.'" 4. What do you love about your role at Canopy SDA? "The people I get to spend time with, my colleagues, and the people we are building for." OK people - let's talk transparency We're at the start of our transparency journey at CareScribe, and my mission is to be transparent with the why's, the how's, the what's, of our decision making, alongside a host of other things. Why? 🧐 To treat people like the adults they are 🧐 To provide information for them to take ownership over their own careers 🧐 To reduce ambiguity for all, so we can crack on with our jobs and feel well informed and part of the bigger picture 🧐 So people applying to join CareScribe know what's what, right from the outset and can make the decision about whether we're right for them 🧐 To share what we've learned along the way and hopefully, support other orgs with shaping their working environments = everyone has a great time at work It's my firm belief that transparency is the best engagement tool going and here's the really awesome thing about it...it's FREE It's time to ditch the worry that if people find out how much the business makes they'll ask for more money (psst, Companies House), or that people don't need to know how you've come to the decision you have because they're not leadership or exec level. People know when they're being kept in the dark, and it's not a good feeling. This typically results in people ticking off the to do list and doing the bare minimum. If that's what you want then great, but if you want your org to thrive/create/reach new levels, then you need people who care deeply and feel invested in your mission. They'll feel invested if they feel really included, and understand the why's, the how's, the what's. The next part of the journey is one I'm so excited about! Try it out: If it doesn't make you nervous, you're not being transparent enough. #FutureOfWork

Yesterday was a sweet day at the TraceWorthy offices. Our Chief Operating Officer surprised the team with an impromptu ice cream party. 🍦 We believe in celebrating every opportunity and finding joy in the little things. It is not just about the work we do, but also about creating an environment where our team feels valued and cherished.
