🎬✨ "ADHD and the Art of Balance" – Experience a film that challenges traditional filmmaking norms to reflect the ADHD journey. Here's how I broke the rules to create a raw and authentic portrayal: -Reversed Shots: All shots featuring my face are reversed to symbolize disorientation and unease. -Raw Natural Audio: Used different locations/microphones to record natural conversations so they would stand apart sonically from each other without the need for digital filters. -Chaotic Audio Transitions: Represented overstimulation through chaotic audio transitions and overpowering builds and fades, with natural sounds serving as wipes and transitions to enhance the sensory overload of ADHD. -No Stabilization: Embraced bumps and jitters in the footage to mirror the unpredictable and raw experience of managing ADHD. -Unconventional Framing: Employed creative and unconventional framing techniques to deviate from traditional cinematic norms. -Improvised Lighting: Relied on natural or existing lighting sources to enhance authenticity (shoutout Charles Wood for forcing a lighting course on me) -Raw, Unedited Dialogue: Included genuine, unedited conversations to maintain a raw and honest tone. -Minimalist Editing: Used abrupt cuts and minimal editing to reflect the fragmented nature of ADHD. -Non-Linear Storytelling: Adopted a fragmented narrative approach, mirroring the cyclical patterns often experienced by undiagnosed ADHD patients. The film's chapters and cycles within the voices and music illustrate the recurring patterns and emotional cycles that characterize ADHD, offering a deeper insight into the disjointed experience. Breaking these conventions highlights how ADHDers navigate and challenge societal norms. Dive in and let me know how these creative choices resonate with you and I hope you'll check out the full-length film on YouTube. 💬🔍 #ADHD #ArtOfBalance #RuleBreaking #CreativeJourney #ADHDLife #FilmmakingTips

Strategic UX Designer at Divami || Crafting experiences and building communities around design @ Figma, LottieFiles & Framer || Advocating Community-led Growth at Community Insider (An ecosystem for Community People)
Let's talk about making our digital world more welcoming, especially for folks with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Spoiler alert: It's a game-changer for everyone!👀 🌟Inclusive Design: Embracing Neurodiversity in UX (Especially for Attention Deficit Disorder: ADHD)🌟 Have you ever thought about how vital inclusive design is for users with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)? It's a topic that many might overlook in the hustle of delivering cutting-edge user experiences, yet it's fundamental to creating truly accessible digital spaces. When we create software, it's easy to get caught up in the bells and whistles. But guess what? Users with ADHD really thrive when things are simple and clear. Think of it like organizing a messy desk: clear headers, easy navigation, and bite-sized content can make their experience smooth and stress-free. And here's a fun fact—when we design with ADHD in mind, we're actually making things better for everyone. Who doesn't love a clean, easy-to-use interface? Plus, adding options to tweak font sizes and colors isn't just nice—it's essential. As designers, we have a superpower: the ability to make our products accessible and enjoyable for all. Let's use that power wisely. By considering neurodiversity from the start, we're not just including more people; we're making better products for everyone. 🚀 So, let's champion inclusive design and create digital spaces where everyone feels at home. Because when we design for everyone, everyone wins! 🌍 #UXDesign #Accessibility #ADHD #UserExperience #InclusiveDesign #design #community

Saw this somewhere today and this is totally on point. We are bombarded with so much information online now a days that our brains could literally use some help. Writing "today or tomorrow" instead of date might not seem like a big deal but 1. This will help avoid opening Calendar App and confirming date. 2. Our brain will not have to use its processing power in vain. 3. Less deviation from the current task. A very good design especially for people with ADHD. #ui #ux #design #graphics #adhd

You know those moments when you’re watching a video in a noisy café and rely on captions? Or when you speed up video training to 2x speed to get through it quicker and stay engaged (or is that just me!?)? I’ve also found that keeping my phone's display dim and in black-and-white mode helps my ADHD brain focus better and reduces distractions. Plus, I’m likely to leave any website that doesn’t function well on my phone! These are all accessibility features that benefit many users, even those without disabilities. Accessible design is just good design that everyone can enjoy! What about you? What little tricks or settings do you use to make your online experience easier? #InclusiveDesign #UserExperience #WebDesign #TechTips #ADHDHacks

🎮 Unlocking the Power of Neurodiversity with Serenium 🎮 Understanding #ADHD means embracing its unique strengths within neurodiversity—creativity, hyperfocus, and adaptability. With our deep roots in #gaming, Serenium by VitalPlay is designed to be fun first, while also enhancing attention, working memory, and cognitive flexibility. 🌟 The Power of Games in ADHD Management: 🎮 Games can provide instant feedback, which is crucial for learning and motivation, especially for individuals with ADHD. This immediate response helps them understand consequences and adjust strategies quickly. 🧘♂️ Some games are designed to enhance mindfulness and reduce impulsivity, teaching players to pause and consider their actions—skills that can translate to real-world success. 🎯 The engaging nature of video games can harness the power of hyperfocus, turning it into a tool for learning and improvement. 🧠 Neurofeedback games that adjust difficulty based on the player’s brain activity encourage states of focused attention, training the brain over time to sustain attention longer. 🔄 Customizable difficulty levels allow games to be tailored to individual needs, ensuring they are always challenging but not overwhelming. 📅 By incorporating routines and structured play, these games help improve organizational skills and time management. 🤝 The social aspect of some games can also be beneficial, improving communication skills and building social relationships, which can be challenging for people with ADHD. 🎯 Let’s continue to innovate and make a positive impact on the ADHD community!
