BlueGen Water recently designed, built, and now operates a small-scale WWTP for Tecnofarma, a pharmaceutical company in Mexico, with a capacity of 70m³/d. The plant manages diverse wastewater streams from both manufacturing processes and the onsite sewage system. Key features include preliminary treatment for pH balancing and pollutant deactivation, as well as MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) and DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) technologies, reducing energy and chemical consumption. A custom emergency tank ensures stable operations during flow fluctuations. The 12-month, concrete-based construction minimized disruption to ongoing operations and reduced the facility’s footprint. BlueGen Water led a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) project, overseeing the design, construction, and operation of a regional municipal and industrial WWTP hub with a capacity of 36,700 m³/day. This project implements a full-cycle, clean energy process that reduces both carbon and water footprints. We’re excited to announce that lately BlueGen Water has been awarded a major contract by Tidhar Construction Ltd. to lead groundwater remediation efforts for a new commercial development project on the southern outskirts of Acre! The site, once home to a PVC production plant for decades, faces substantial aquifer pollution. Our remediation methodology includes extracting polluted water from three streams, treating it at a state-of-the-art WTP up to the water authority standards. The high-quality water will then be reinjected into groundwater wells.
