I take issue with one of the phrases below. I believe it is a lazy "wisdom" when we blindly command others to remove difficult people from their lives. Don't get me wrong - that can be needed, but consider: 1. What are you learning in this season? 2. Just because this relationship requires work, doesn't mean that it is wrong/bad. 3. If someone isn't helping or supporting you now, maybe they are the one currently in need of that help and support. 4. People go through seasons, and sometimes it is painful. While people do cross lines, others may simply need patience while they work through challenges. 5. What are the long term benefits of sticking this out? The solution isn't always leaving and trimming the undesirable things in your life. It isn't so binary.
