Reflecting on an Incredible Journey: 🌟 Fabric and Cloth Texturing BootCamp 🌟 Over the past month, I had the privilege of guiding an amazing group of over 50 dedicated individuals through a transformative BootCamp focused on the art of creating and presenting fabric and cloth textures using industry-standard tools like Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, and 3ds Max. This BootCamp was particularly special as it was conducted for my community in Persia, bringing together passionate learners from my home country. 🎓 BootCamp Structure: Day 0 (3 days): We kicked off with an intensive introduction to the basics. Even those with no prior experience in Substance Designer were able to grasp the essentials and get comfortable with the software, thanks to our structured and engaging tutorials. Day 1-10 (+ 2 days for rest): These were the action-packed days! Participants practiced daily, pushing the limits of their creativity and technical skills. Each day brought new challenges, and each day, they delivered. After 6 days, they took on a final project over 4 days, synthesizing everything they had learned to create something truly remarkable. What truly amazed me was the sheer dedication and enthusiasm everyone brought to the table. Nearly 90% of our participants started with little to no knowledge of the software, and in just 15 days, they transformed into capable artists, ready to take on new challenges in texturing. The only prerequisite for this BootCamp was knowing how to work with Substance Painter and understanding the fundamentals of UV unwrapping, yet the participants rose to the challenge, mastering new skills in a short time. 👩💻 Outcomes: The results speak for themselves. The daily submissions and final projects are a testament to the hard work, creativity, and passion these artists poured into this BootCamp. It's an honor to share some of their outstanding work with you all. 🚀 To everyone who participated: You did an incredible job! Your commitment, creativity, and perseverance were truly inspiring. 🎉 Day 1 of My 3D Learning Journey! 🖥️🎨 Today I took the first step in my journey to mastering 3D world, and to my surprise there’s a lot to take in! 😅 I spent most of my time surfing through courses offered by many tutors across different platforms and finally concluded to stick with the evergreen 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗧𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 by 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗿𝘂 on YouTube. I explored the interface and begin familiarizing myself with the basics. Here’s what I covered today: 🔹 Understanding the Blender workspace – Navigating the different panels, views, and shortcuts. 🔹 Basic object manipulation – Learning how to move, scale, and rotate objects in 3D space. 🔹 Created my first simple shape – a cube! 🟦 I’m already amazed at how powerful this software is, and I can’t wait to dive deeper into modeling and designing in the coming days ahead. Tomorrow, I plan to start learning about the different mesh tools to create more complex shapes. Feeling motivated and ready to learn more.
