Continuing on our #artificialintelligence trend, our ability to automate building inventory systems has increased our production by 10x on the back end. Building out robust systems while training for anomaly detection allows us to assess critical infrastructure and report emergencies within hours....not days, weeks or months like it used to in the past. The future of utility infrastructure inspection is here! #dronesforgood #ai #technology #ml #machinelearning #fulltimedrones #ftd #utilityinspections #wildfiremitigation

On multiple occasions our operators would detect tracks that were actually birds. Different radars can filter different things, but when you increase filter thresholds you can reduce the ability to detect smaller drones with low Dbsm RCS (Radar Cross Section). This technology will be good to test against camera operators who work on C-UAS EOCs (Engagement Operations Crews) during Battle drill VALEXs. Complacency can kill, having operators thoroughly investigate tracks is important. Though positive visual identification is not necessarily a requirement to engage a hostile or subject track in most cases, it is nice to have it for certain operational settings. I'd love to see Red Team fly these against bases to see how the warfighters respond.
Bringing AI on board of our Evolution Eagle FW UAS could be the next step in our development process. We have met dutch UA(X) AI experts from Avalor AI on a dutch defense innovation expo(Purple Nectar) I am very impressed with their teams skillset and products. Adding their hard- and sofware onboard of our Evolution Eagle ISR platform integrates ATAK and makes the operators live much easier. Looking forward to future developments 🦅 🔥 #EvolutionEagle #AI #GuardFromAbove #AvalorAI

Anduril Industries, founded in 2017 by Palmer Luckey, has rapidly emerged as a key defense contractor, blending advanced autonomous capabilities, AI, and cutting-edge technology to redefine modern warfare. One of its flagship products, the Bolt-M, exemplifies this approach, integrating AI-driven decision-making, efficient battery systems, and sensor fusion for rapid, precise operations. These technologies, designed for surveillance, targeting, and combat, reflect a shift towards machines executing tasks traditionally reserved for humans. While this innovation positions Anduril as a powerful force in future conflicts, it also carries a tragic undertone—highlighting a future where war is increasingly automated, dehumanized, and decided by algorithms. But Anduril alone isn’t to blame—the entire world is racing to produce similar autonomous weapons, accelerating this troubling trend. #AutonomousWeapons #AIinWarfare #Anduril #DefenseTechnology #ModernWarfare #MilitaryAI #EthicsInWarfare #GlobalArmsRace

Interesting conversation. Do you update existing vehicles or do you create cheaper new platforms? This seems to be a topic across all of DOD. The newer platforms tend to be modular and easily adaptable to accommodate a variety of different missions but also the evolve with the landscape of war. As warfare evolves with technology so does the vehicles and vice versa. It is an iterative evolution driven by tech evolution by each of the countries. It’ll be interesting to see how vehicles evolve with AI, autonomy, and the increased analysis capabilities.

Exciting news! The first year of the DARPA Triage Challenge is complete, and Team Chiron made it through the first stage along with 11 other teams to compete in the Systems challenge. I'm proud to share that we secured second place in the ambushed convoy event and tied for third place on the open battlefield course! Although technical challenges prevented us from submitting joint inferencing results in the downed airplane course from our OCU, resulting in an overall standing of fourth place, we gained invaluable insights that will drive us forward. Not being able to submit joint inference results was a significant challenge, as it limited our ability to provide a fully integrated understanding of casualty status from multiple sensors across our platforms. Joint inferencing is critical because it fuses data from different modalities (e.g., thermal, radar, visual) in real-time, which is essential for accurate situational awareness in the chaos of disaster scenarios. To address this, we're advancing our edge computing infrastructure beyond our sensors. By optimizing on-device inferencing, we can ensure that our platforms perform even in the most adverse conditions. We’re also focusing on enhancing our integration with advanced mesh networks, which will allow our autonomous swarm to communicate with responders exceptionally well. As the competition progresses, we’re excited to expand our inferences to account for CBRN activities, an essential capability in modern triage and defense. A special shoutout to Figure8 Federal, who recognize the pivotal role that precise data labeling plays, particularly in identifying critical features like hemorrhage as the scenarios become more complex. Their contribution sets us up for success and is crucial as we look to improve data accuracy and model robustness for future challenges. There were plenty of Easter eggs on the course to challenge our sensing! Lastly, we’re thrilled by the success of RI’s win in the subterranean challenge and see strong potential as we apply these capabilities in autonomous navigation across complex environments. Shout out to our HARD WORKING team!!!!! I am proud of Team Chiron and eager to continue pushing the boundaries of autonomous systems and AI in triage and disaster response! #DARPA #TriageChallenge #EdgeComputing #AI #Autonomy #CBRN #TeamChiron #SwarmIntelligence #Innovation #MeshNetworks #ArtificialIntelligence #DataLabeling #Figure8Federal #AutonomousNavigation
