Coming October! We want our Oklahoma black communities educated on trauma-informed interventions and being able to be aware of the spaces trauma influences our black community in Oklahoma! Domestic Violence Awareness Month is in October! We want to focus on the black family more and educate the importance of building the black family, exposes what can destroy the black family and ways to sustain the black family in healthy and effective ways. The conditions of the black community is reflected on the conditions of the black family. We will not only discuss intergenerational trauma but also historical trauma, racial trauma and complex trauma that effects the black family, that can result in domestic violence in the black family.
