Trust the wait. Embrace the uncertainty. Enjoy the beauty of becoming. When nothing is certain, anything is possible.
Great article ! Let me briefly describe the basic concept of this article for those who don’t want to read a long description. This article highlights the paradox in human psychology—while people remember criticism, they respond positively to praise. Managers, through a method called the Reflected Best Self (RBS) exercise, can leverage positive feedback to tap into their strengths, fostering confidence and better performance. The RBS exercise involves collecting feedback, recognizing patterns, composing a self-portrait, and redesigning one's job to align with strengths. The article emphasizes the transformative potential of focusing on strengths rather than dwelling on weaknesses, offering a practical guide for individuals to enhance their professional effectiveness.

This read thrives on celebrating our strengths just as much as we're noting areas for improvement. Too often, when we get feedback, it's our weak spots that grab our attention. We can end up devoting too much time and energy to these areas, even trying to fit into a role that simply doesn't suit us. It's a common response to feel defensive about negative feedback. Just like in baseball, where a gifted third baseman belongs at third base to truly thrive, when we dwell excessively on where we falter, we risk ignoring the potential to cultivate our inherent gifts. It's essential that we value and build upon our unique talents with the same vigor that we apply to overcoming our weaknesses. It’s high time we embrace and enhance our innate talents as fervently as we address our challenges.🏆 #ProfessionalDevelopment #StrengthsBasedApproach #Growth #positivefeedback
