When hiring for your organization, it's crucial to avoid the tendency to choose candidates solely based on personal preferences or seeking someone similar to yourself. Instead, the focus should be on identifying candidates whose unique skills and behavioral attributes align with the specific requirements of the open position. . . . #bluewateradvisory #bluewaterexcellence #teambuilding #hiringdecisions #behavioralblindness #jobfit #idealjobfit #jobbenchmarking

I Help Renewable Energy Companies Save Time And Increase Revenue By Optimizing The Recruitment Process And Hiring Top Talent
Candidates: if a company asks you to do an assignment that takes you 10 hours to complete, you should expect some long nights if you take the job. Companies: if you don’t have a workaholic or high-pressure culture, don’t ask candidates to spend hours and hours of their time interviewing for jobs. There are other, better options. #hiring #hiringprocess #jobseekers #expectations #companyculture

Connecting Talent with Opportunity: Your Partner in Career Success⭐️ Judge/Mentor on The Blox season 6&9 ⭐️ mentor for small businesses ⭐️
Are you setting your team up for success and helping them find long-lasting careers? One secret I always follow is to ensure my team meets with hiring managers before accepting a position. A walk-through with direct supervisors and a tour of the building can make all the difference in preparing for the first day. This practice not only makes employees feel more comfortable and confident, but it also helps employers feel more secure in their hiring decision. I've found that not many people follow this practice, but it's one that has brought success to both sides of the table. As a recruiter, my goal is to ensure that everyone involved feels comfortable and confident in their decision. It's not about just throwing bodies at a position and hoping it works out - it's about finding the right fit. So, let's set ourselves and our teams up for success!

Don’t apply for a job without first researching the company. Many companies will ask you specific questions about why you want to join their team, so make sure you know about the mission, values, and recent news to answer this comfortably. #jobsearchhacks #getthrivinnow

MD’s hiring FASTER and BETTER using our “Charge, Build & Hire” process | Clean Energy & eMobility | 84% of hires in 2023 were headhunted | Founder @ TechWaves Recruitment | DM me to book a call
I messed up. A shortlist was sent and the client said we missed the mark totally! He was 'disappointed' and I was disappointed in myself to be fair, we haven't got it wrong before. Experience, did they have what he asked for? Yes. Attitude - did they have the right attitude? Yes. We did the usual - went onsite, took a briefing, got a feel for the place the people and what kind of people would work well here. Confused as hell, I asked him, What was it that was missing? "I've had a chat with the team and we just don't think they'll be the right fit' and 'It's their personality'. Yeah, you guessed it, I asked "What specifically about their personality isn't on the mark?" *laughs* 'I can't do that, how do I pinpoint their personality' .... Now call me crazy, but if you can't tell me exactly what is wrong with them, then I can't find you people that 'fit'. I'm good at my job. But I can't read minds. Both roles were put on hold a day later. If you can't direct us, with specifics, in terms of feedback, and then decide actually...we don't want to hire anymore, we've spent time and resources on doing a job...that we will never be paid for. So....if you can't work together, take constructive feedback, and help us help you, then it'll never work. But if you want to find the right people, have the support and not be afraid to be questioned on 'they aren't the right fit' to get you the person you need to make the business move forward then let's talk. #hiring #cleanenergy #electrification

Hearing that a company you interviewed with and felt a connection with is moving forward with another candidate is disheartening. However, it's important to remember that when one door closes, another one opens. #jobsearch #positivity #keepgoing
