However, sodium-ion batteries are now emerging as an innovative alternative, capturing widespread attention in the industry with their unique advantages. First, let's consider the cost factor. Sodium-ion batteries use sodium, an abundant resource on Earth, significantly reducing costs compared to lithium-ion batteries. This not only brings economic benefits to manufacturers but also offers cost-effectiveness for the end consumers. In terms of environmental protection, sodium-ion batteries also have an edge. Compared to traditional lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, they have a smaller environmental impact during production and disposal. This is crucial for driving sustainable development in the golf cart industry. Safety is another highlight of sodium-ion batteries. [DEMONSTRATOR] From static testing to hydraulic testing to pressure cycling Wondered why there has been little to no news since the inauguration[1] of the Aulnoye demonstrator site in early December? This is simply because the hydrogen storage pressure vessel assembly has been under STATIC pressure test, pressurised to 280 bar with nitrogen-hydrogen mix, and in this case, obviously, no news is good news. Now after 3 months of static pressure testing, with no leaks and the hydrogen permeation rates recorded at well below the industry norm[2] of 3 millibar per 15 minutes, the static pressure test is passed with flying colours and the project team is advancing to the two next challenges: hydraulic test[3] and pressure cycling[4]. EVs are increasingly popular. Below is an article about an electric vehicle drag racer. Entering the world of racing at any level will spark even more interest in EVs and their performance capabilities. Simply put, they are here to stay. But like data centers, and other high consumers of electricity, EVs place increased demand on the grid which is aging and underequipped for that demand. The challenges this creates for the grid also creates opportunities. The growth potential for infrastructure contractors working in the energy sector is only limited by their capacity to clearly understand the challenges, and provide solutions and services to overcome those challenges in a timely manner.
