Have you read a good investor update recently? Not like the investment is doing good kind of good. A well done and thoughtfully crafted investor update. Far too often founders save their investor updates for when things are going well and avoid the tough things that have been happening. But the best investor updates that I've ever been a part of writing or that I now receive take advantage of an aligned audience and ask for help with the parts of building a company that are hard in addition to what is going well and the wins that have been racked up. Asking for help out of the blue after giving no context or information is a sure sign of a company that will not make it. If your investors and advisors are surprised that you need help, you're already dead. Props to Krish Jagirdar and Josh Fabian for their investor updates.
