Starting the new month with gratitude!! Our vision for Intertwined is a to build an India outwards marketing and brand solutions firm. Learning and bringing our expertise on a global footprint and platform. We were blessed to have our first launch in Gulf foods Dubai. Later we took the brand to an India launch and a global launch at Milan expo. What was even more heartening was that not only were we nominated amongst the innovative new businesses and brands globally, we were in the final 5 shortlist of the most innovative brand and businesses globally. The brand was also the first ever social brand launched in India committed to women’s empowerment. We partnered our client at various levels of business incubation. Understanding deeply the business and identifying key categories for launch, thinking of a disruptive brand strategy to compete with giants like Annapoorna(Unilever), Aashirwaad(ITC), Nature Fresh, Pilsbury, Daawat, India Gate, Rajdhani, Aahar to name a few. Designing the identity, packaging and communication with a very lean team supporting a start-up with meagre means. We were almost down to zero when we worked on this supporting our business from our savings. We went to the fine details, including many days at the packaging printing factory to get the special colours right, to shooting films with real women athletes in film city Mumbai and their villages, to creating and managing the entire launch across social media, TV, print, web and outdoor. To walking the streets and going to every retailer and wholesaler understanding their response at the ground level. We launched the business to the international business community in Dubai representing our client like their own marketing team. Designing and managing our stall at Gulf Foods. To liaison with Sushmita Sen for the inaugural launch. She was very kind and appreciative of a brand committed to women’s empowerment. A cause close to her heart. The strategy allowed the brand to charge a price premium and enter the market, which was not the norm, where most new brands came at a lower price than the established players. There is a lot to be done to build conscious brands and social brands. An area still under leveraged in India and globally.
